Guisley game
« on: April 07, 2013, 01:00:57 PM »

This has become a very important game for Alty. Not least because of maintaining their playoff spot. But also because a win at Guisley will mean we have taken three points off all our playoff contenders at some stage during this season. This means we can go into the playoffs with that little bit more confidence that we can get a positive outcome.

Whilst the game against Guisley will be no mean feat, they also have a game coming up against Chester, I think after our game, so there is still much to play for.

After the win yesterday, I am sure the players will go into the final run-in with renewed confidence. Their aim now should be to reach as high as possible in the playoff positions to try and gain home advantage should we reach the final. Now though, they have put themselves into a great position for which they have worked very hard to achieve.

Onwards and upwards!

Should be another tense game but even after our win at Halifax I'd be delighted with a draw there.
