Its quite a specialised position number 10 .Didnt Kossy play there before ccc came in on loan ?If or more reluctantly when ccc goes the only number 10s I can think of are Nick Haughton who might be efl bound or Matty Warburton who is at Solihull but didnt play at Barnet

To be honest, Matty Warburton was the first player I thought of as a replacement for CCC (should he leave).

I'd be a little wary of signing Sinclair. He only featured in 32 of 46 games both this season in NL, and last season in League Two. Many of his appearances were from the bench, and he didn't play a full 90 minutes many times. I'm not convinced about his fitness, and signing players from clubs of a lower standard than ourselves doesn't strike me as being the way to progress.

We wouldn’t have acquired Marriot on that basis. I appreciate it can work both ways - Oldham signing a few ex league players hasn’t been hugely successful.

I appreciate what you’re saying about Sinclair though. Fitness does seem to be a problem…

A lot of excellent posts on here, and I can't disagree with any of them.

One of the characteristics of Phil Parkinson's and Neil Tolson's tenure is that they seem to learn as they go on. That's not a bad thing - quite the contrary - and while we may occasionally take a step back, that is usually followed by three steps forward, so I can't see us following Boreham Wood or Dartford who were in the playoffs in 2023 then relegated in 2o24.

Phil and Neil will now have more idea of wbat is needed, or what nous if you like, to achieve success in the playoffs, and I am sure that will be addressed.

It has been a great season and we have been competing at the highest level we have for nearly thirty years.

How did he sneak back in..?!

I rate Newby out wide but has not impressed as no.10 when he has gone into that role this season.
Need someone who is capable of bits of magic in that position.
Haven’t seen enough of Crankshaw but he didn’t look that quick, maybe he can play the 10 role….?
Would love Alistair Smith as a CM, he is what we are missing.

When CCC goes, we should bring Tyrese in. Newby moves inside and Tyrese/Cranky take the left with Mooney/Justin on the right. Still a pretty bulletproof attacking line that.

Regan is capable of playing higher, and he will. But I think it should be with us.

Lundstram can rot in OL1 he jumped ship because he thought the grass was greener when it turned out the only thing green was him behind his ears. Imagine thinking you were going to the league winners and getting that negative fanbase tearing you apart after two games.

Ali Smith is actually the player we need, but there is no chance he's a NL level player any more. Same for Joel Senior. Way too good for this level without paying them too much.

Honestly, the level of scouting and player discovery we do as a club means we also don't need to worry about bringing back old boys and be confident in the names PP brings through the door.

I heard coach three was struggling to get home. Anyone know what time they made it home?
About half 12. The driver thought it was a great idea to take a trip through central london

It’s not just a question of whether they are under contract it’s about what the club and player are offered by EFL teams. I would be amazed if lost anyone we want to keep to another national league team after the season we’ve had. Mooney’s experience will teach them the grass isn’t always greener. Lundstram didn’t seem to fair much better at Oldham.

But if a league one team came in for them ……

The difference being that I'd see a player sale as a success of sorts, whereas someone walking away for free will always naturally stick in the throat a bit more.
