I saw this scheme mentioned on TV yesterday.

The FA are offering 900 Non League clubs the chance to buy a Defib machine for around £300.

The normal cost is over £1000

They are mandatory in Premier League grounds.

They are really easy to use aswell.

Agree great idea.
I think CPR and not a defib actually saved Fabrice Muamba's life + the fact that one of the best cardiovascular surgeons in England just happened to be sat in the stands. I think Fabrice's heart was stopped for something like 35 minutes as they tried to get it going again. The blood would have been being pumped around his body by heart thrusts.
I think he is now fitted with a defib in his chest (like a pacemaker)

I know at one time they were going to make these compulsary in junior football and train the coach up how to use one. I think though that money got in the way once more.

So you need 11 shirts (or is it also the subs shirts?) to raise 300 smackers (obviously the more raised the merrier)......that should be no problem.

So, can people bid on individual shirts? i.e. You may get higher bids for say Watmore's or Reevesy's shirts

There will be 15 outfield and 2 goalkeepers shirts, all bearing special badge with details of fundraising and date.  If bidding, specify which shirt you want, and they will be signed by players if required.

It's this sort of thing that sets us apart from the rest at our level. Well done to all involved on a well thought out initiative, my bid will be going in very soon.

Not really what I mean, for instance if you deffo want a shirt and bid say 30 quid, and pick number 9, but that goes for 40 but another shirt is unsold, do you get the unsold one or not?

Suggest you bid what you want to, and then perhaps an update can be arranged according to numbers later in the week. So if number 9 is popular, and other numbers available, then you will know.
