Tonight's match has been postponed due to snow & a waterlogged pitch.
-
I hate it when this happens. I was really looking forward to tonight as well and had a good feeling about it. :(
-
Time to consider a March shutdown.......
-
It looks like the obvious choice is the Tuesday 9th April.
That means our run of games would be Chester, Halifax, Guiseley, Bishops Stortford, BPA.
And their run of games would be Halifax, Brackley, Alty, Chester, Halifax, Harrogate.
-
Good thing or bad thing.
BAD : we are currently on a roll.
GOOD : When we do get to play them, they might have second spot all wrapped up and won't be all that arsed.
-
April 9th does indeed look the obvious choice (leaving us with Chester, Halifax and Guiseley in successive away matches) but I wonder if they might consider a week today?

I didnt spot that! ;D
-
I wonder how hard they tried to get in on with the top scorer and three others all missing?
I am gutted about that, was really looking for it and was going there thinking we can get something.
That said, subject to Alty weirdness and our reputation for being the ideal team to play when you need to end a run (non league Calpol as Ballers brilliantly calls it), it makes Worcester next so the five straight wins could be on and then we can look again at the table.
I'm not telling the Mrs it's off till 4:45 :D....no other plans needed for me tonight please.

SNOW. Its bloody lovely and sunny here in North Wales. ;D

I'd make that 7.30 so she thinks you're in Yorkshire. Be careful to avoid pub background noise when you ring her. If "the coach broke down" coming back as well you could have a proper session ;)

They are indeed looking at next Tuesday.

Seems strange considering all other games in the region seem to be on, including 3 clubs with lesser resources in Wakefield only 20 miles away.
Very disappointing.
-
11 days from April and still getting postponements... ridiculous!
-
I blame Alex Salmond!
-
Now rearranged for next Tuesday according to the Guiseley website

And according to that, the pitch is 'severely puddled'.
Well we've all been there.
-
North Wales? Crikey
-
The later the better. Chester will already be champions and Guiseley will have secured a play off place and won't want to risk players getting injured.
-
Confirmed as next Tuesday now...
-
The weather forecast for next Tuesday is doom and gloom

Lewes away in April 2009 springs to mind.
They had lost 18 consecutive matches before Alty obligingly rode into town.
-
It seems likely that Walshaw will still be suspended for next tuesday anyway, it may suit us if we dont get any more injuries on saturday,..if its played :D
-
SNOW. Its bloody lovely and sunny here in North Wales. ;D
I am surprised has anyone the match is off woke up this morning to a heavy frost and then sunshine all day
-
should have an easter break
-
I don't really see why Guiseley wouldn't have tried to get it on, even with players out as to my reckoning they pretty much have 2nd buttoned up, big ask for Halifax to catch them now even with the games in hand.
-
It's just the way it goes and this nonsense about a winter break wouldnt solve anything as god knows when winter is now in the UK.

totally disagree the winter break should run from November till end of march

I remember that day well. Chiefly for the numerous wonderful watering holes in Lewes. Indeed there was a debate before KO as to whether the pub might be a better option than the game. If only we'd known at that point what was to unfold over the 90 mins...

It's all part of the fun of being an Alty fan......stating that you were that soldier (or one of them). That was actually one of my forays over too sadly.....had picked it thinking I could see us win with the possibility of a few goals (should've known better).
