Here is the link to the streams of Alty's home games in November including Solihull Moors (via club website)...

NB for those with Season Tickets believe club sent all STic holders a letter recently with a unique code for streaming access free which can also be used for 20% off at Alty shop (plus free Alty mask)... if not, assume club will email/text seperately on Tues/Wed with code so can watch for free...

Altrincham FC First Team / Solihull (Wednesday) Match Thread
« on: November 08, 2020, 02:19:09 PM »
Alty v Solihull on Wednesday
(start of 5 home games from next 6 matches):

So Solihull go into Wednesday's match with Alty on the back of a 3-2 FA Cup win away at EFL Div2 lowly Scun thorpe...
Great win & league scalp but Solihull showed a few defensive issues (especially for Scunnies 2nd goal)...

Alty have several injury concerns with Mullarkey, Sutton, Williams, Mooney, Richman, Ceesay, Adarabioyo, all with various knocks and injuries... so we'll struggle to put out anything like our best team...

Depending on injury updates Team may look like...
TT
Senior
Sass-Davies
Hannigan
Hampson

Moult
Robbins

Kosylo
Hancock
Ceesay

Peers/Miller*

*Hopefully can get a couple of players fit... if Mooney is fit would start him upfront (or push Hancock forward & start Mooney behind in middle)...

We're due a bit of luck so hoping for a win -maybe 1-0 or 2-1.

However, still need to get in proven striker at some point but easier said than done as most decent ones already at clubs.

COYR!  Keep the Faith!!

We do need a quality & proven striker, but this is easier said than done... we have played well in most of our games this season (despite so many away, plus several injuries not helping) but the fact remains we need someone decent to finish off these chances we create or we'll continue not getting our just rewards...

However, replacing Hulme our main 20goal per season striker sold on the eve of the season start is far from easy... his loss has also effected our other main scorer Hancock as their link up is also gone... we are getting lots of crosses in & having runs at defence from Kosylo, Ceesay, Mooney etc, plus full backs, but no-one is finishing off these moves...

It will be hard to find a quality striker now the season has started as all the decent strikers would have been secured under contract from the start of the new season...

I'm sure PP knows we need a top striker or some hungry young loanee forward and is working hard at finding someone...
It wont be easy, as the season is underway, but keep the faith in Parky & the Management Team... we all want the same thing ie Alty to survive as a club and be successful... lets hope they find us our new goalscoring talisman in the near future...

In the meantime lets hope the run of 5 home games out of the next 6 games bring us some more goals, points, wins and we start climbing the table!

Gutted... we deserved at least a draw; as created enough chances - problem is we don't seem to have anyone who can put em away... need a quality striker!
Maybe hard to find someone of quality now season underway.

Long way to go though, as early days...

More injuries picked up to Sutton & Adarabioyo (plus maybe Ceesay) to add to recent Mooney hamstring twinge & other already known listed injuries...

Need a bit of luck with injuries & in front of goal...

We go again midweek... 5 out of next 6 games at home... lets make that count and start climbing the table!

Think same team as last weekend, but with maybe centre back Sass-Davies pushing Sutton/Hannigan for a start...

Hopeful of a win... maybe 2-1 to Alty...

Indeed... sadly some lower league clubs will struggle without the 200-600 max fans they had been allowed... and ultimately some could go bust... :(

Plus, lets be honest, like the first lockdown there is the possibility of it being extended extra weeks if the R number is not back below 1 and Covid deaths reducing come Dec 2nd...

Further Update to above...

Appears non-elite football (bar clubs involved in this weekend's FA Cup ties) will be stopped for a period of 28 days from Thurs as PM sadly states in below link...

Ollie Bayliss (@Ollie_Bayliss) Tweeted: BREAKING:

Boris Johnson “I bitterly regret that we have to curtail for 28 days (non-elite) football clubs”. https://t.co/UXq1rpPH3q https://twitter.com/Ollie_Bayliss/status/1323316737807437826?s=20

Update... the FA & Govt had announced all FA Cup ties can go ahead including the nine matches involving 'non-elite' clubs...

See attached link below...

https://www.thefa.com/news/2020/nov/02/emirates-fa-cup-first-round-update-021120

NB the govt has still to advise if normal 'non-elite' football matches can go ahead... maybe a further anouncement later...

In meantime, both FA Trophy & FA Vase draws were still made today with dates to be confirmed at later date...

Altrincham FC First Team / Yellow (3rd kit) Shirt
« on: November 01, 2020, 11:53:15 AM »
I recall talk at the start of the season of the 3rd kit shirt (yellow one) being added to the OnLine Shop for fans to purchase early season... is this still the plan?

Know the OnLine Shop has the new home shirt, grey away shirt, and LGBT Rainbow shirt, but after checking in recent days still cannot see the yellow one on sale (despite the image of the three home, away, 3rd kits being on the shop entry)...

Can the club or kit supplier confirm if the yellow one will go on sale (and if so when) plus please do sizing upto 5XL similar to new home kit for those of us with a 'fuller' figure... thanks... :)

Hopefully the yellow kit can be added to the shop to add to the kit range available to fans plus ultimately make more money for the club... any news/update would be great...

Non-elite is tier 7 & below of football pyramid ie step3 & below of non-league system...

Whereas Elite teams are top6 divisions ie Prem, Championship, Div1, Div2, Non-Lge National Div (Conference eg Alty), plus div below ie National Lge Div North/South... Hence clubs where no fans been allowed so far...

The leagues below elite system are those classed as 'non-elite' and upto now been allowed nominal crowds of circa 200-400 max eg Trafford, Atherton Colleries, Ramsbottom, etc...

It would appear govt may stop games at non-elite level - awaiting confirmation asper attached link... so nothing officially been decided yet...

HOWEVER, if stop these clubs it would be impact on FA Cup as think media said nine 'non-elite' had made 1st rd so what happens there? Kicked out Cup & opponents go through? Surely not...

Hopefully govt will let lower lge (non-elite) clubs continue to play & with small crowds so footy fans can see some football in person to help clubs & wellbeing/mental health of fans...

Guess will be clarification probably on Monday...

Here's FA view at present after govt lockdown announcement... basically await more info before making decision about lower league football...

Whereas Elite sport/football will continue...

Well guess that scuppers any chance of a re-arranged game this Saturday then... :(
