Went to watch them today and the best player on the pitch was our No.4 Ryan Barry. Very good on the ball,  and continually on the move eager to receive the ball and very rarely gives the ball away. Worth a shot with the first team squad in my opinion.

Know him well, used to manage him at Unicorn for two-three seasons. A very good player with a great temperament, I agree and would love to see him break through. Hope his dad Peter is well, not spoke to him for ages. Had a good team at Unicorn, one of my lads, Paul Clowse now plays for DC United in Washington.

The last player to break into the Premiership from Unicorn incidentally, was Danny Drinkwater of Leicester; originally managed by the late Derek Calderbank. Derek was also one I used to seek advise from in my early years as a junior football manager. Spent 8 years from 2000-2008 with Unicorn and my kids, happy days!!

Ryan had a brief spell at 1874 Northwich - my workmate is manager - he rated Ryan but felt he needed to 'beef-up' for NW Counties football
