Whilst I agree with all the posts in this thread, I also think Nathan has given this a great deal of thought over the last couple of weeks. He strikes me as a man who self-analyzes and does not go into things lightly. He has been out of the game but now feels the time is right to return. His reasons for this are personal, but I think he is right to come back into football now, as he feels ready, and I am only glad it is for us! Reading his interview he is exactly what we are looking for and he still has much to offer the game. Credit to Phil and Neil and the club as a whole for attracting a player of his calibre because with JJ on the right and Nathan on the left, we are going to be pretty awesome next season, especially with the type of football we play. I know as fans we will do our part to encourage him and the rest of the team, and I am so looking forward to watching them play.
I have done a lot of self analysis myself over the last few years, but feel much better now than I have done in ages so I understand where Nathan is coming from. Good luck Nathan, looking forward to watching you meet all your challenges, you will achieve them with Phil/Neil, the club and us (the supporters) all behind you. The distance is immaterial if it is the right club for you, and you enjoy playing for us.
