Forthcoming fixtures

Cult suggests on another thread that we should consider asking Southend to reverse our forthcoming game to Roots Hall. He makes an excellent point, and I'd further suggest we approach Bromley on the same basis

This would give the club a full six undisturbed weeks to sort out the problems before we entertain Wrexham and Stockport after Xmas. We absolutely MUST have everything sorted by then.

Agreed, we've done it before with the pitch issues so I'm sure we could do it again in theory.

Moving to another local ground would have quite considerable cost implications I would imagine.

I've emailed Bill with this suggestion, also pointing out that, if both Southend and Bromley are agreeable, it would then give us a run of six consecutive home games between March 19th and August 15th.

Its unlikely.

It could be argued that this is of our making and preventable.

Moreover the disruption to matchday sponsorship etc would make it unlikely that SUFC would agree.

Can see ML not being allowed to host any games until at least some of issues are resolved. Not sure if I want to attend a home game if the arrangements will be the same as last night.

Witton ground share?

Ground share would be financial suicide at this point. Reversing fixtures less so, but as some have said, might be tricky to get the other teams to agree.

If there has to be another game like last night then so be it? With that whole corner closed off they can work on it between games.

The atmosphere is rubbish how it is, but would still rather a home game than MORE away fixtures in the Conference.

There is also the spectre of bad weather...…….doubt we will get any floating fans for the Hale End in those circumstances

Bearing in mind we spent a fortune on the pitch during the close season, is there money to make all the necessary repairs urgently. If not then suggest we maybe crowd fund again. Switching home fixtures to away will not help revenue earning, neither will a temporary ground switch. A win last night maybe would have given us the much needed funds, or maybe at least some of it. Now, we may have a problem, so what's the solution. Can the club let us know if and how we can help??
