I'm taking it with a pinch of salt, though it does seem a weird thing to just make up. Apart from anything else, I'm not convinced Mansfield fans know about any of our players...

I believe his contract in Australia runs until January but we still have his Blue Square Premier registration so you never know in the New Year.

They were probably misquoting him when he said that he hoped he might be back in the future.

I would love this to be true but I just can't see it at the moment. It's a long way to go just to come home after 2 months.

The Mansfield fan in question is a bit of a dick sometimes and he won't leave players/staff alone at Mansfield but I tell you at least 90% of the stuff he comes out with is actually true, don't be surprised if this happens as he's told me stuff in the past what's happened some time later.

Hes in the first team now playing full time football so i cant really see the attraction of returning unless there is personal issues or hes having trouble with visa's ....

Its quite possible that Matt Crowell is/will have Visa problems in Australia - their Red tape is incredible.
I gave up with our application and came back here instead. I have a mate from Northern Moor who is probably having to come back this month after 4 years in Ausi.
However, others can turn up in Ausi without any documentation and probably any identification and remain there indefinately - a current issue that is upsetting your average Ausi.
