As if Harrogate's pitch was always a bowling green? Remember going there couple of years ago, and it resembled a lake.

Does anyone know how Tim is after his brilliant save yesterday? He looked to be in a bad way for a while so I'm wondering if there will be any after effects.

Who is reserve goalie these days?
.   He'll be ok, bruised and battered, but will be training Tuesday with reserve AJ and myself

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: 14 points adrift
« on: December 18, 2016, 09:48:08 PM »
Last season that well known Northern club Lowestoft Town got relegated from National North with 46 points, and the year before Colwyn Bay went down with 45. Given that Gainsborough have 20 points from 21 games, and the bottom teams usually get a few more points in the second half of the season than the first, it doesn't seem unreasonable to assume that the same sort of points total will again be needed this season. So where on earth are we going to get the best part of 40 points from against pretty much the same teams we got 7 from in the first half of the season? Simple maths says to me that we are doomed to relegation this season, and need to plan accordingly.
. Looking at the current table, we need to match Tamworth's form to stay up. That's the target, a big ask, but attainable.

With the match scheduled for Remembrance Weekend, and with the approval of the League and main sponsor J Davidson's, the team will be wearing a special shirt featuring a Poppy on the front. Photo's will be available on club website once sample has been produced, hopefully tomorrow sometime.

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: We want Nicky back campaign
« on: November 02, 2016, 01:12:02 PM »
As a member of the management team, I can asure all supporters that attempts were made to get Nicky back to the club. Unfortunately we can't compete financially with some fellow Conference North clubs in terms of salaries. Much as Nick would have loved to have returned to the club, when significantly increased terms are offered, then "family comes first". Other targets have been identified, but even at our level of football, ££ talks. I can assure all the supporters that efforts continue to strengthen the squad in all areas of the pitch. Hope that clears a few things up.
