For me the time for rotation has ended unless it needs to be for injury/fatigue. Play your best 11
Ross
Banks Cooper Baines Jones
Osbourne Wilson
Mooney CCC Newby
Linney
Kosylo, Angus, Hancox, Roscoe, Donowa
Massive game, won't be easy but win needed.

Agreed, same XI and I don't think the manager will be tempted to change it either - at least he managed to withdraw CCC and Newby early last night as they've had huge minutes.
The likes of Wilson, Mooney and Linney should all still feel fresh, and Banks/Jones have sat out a bit too.
Aggborough isn't exactly a happy hunting ground for us over the years (including this season), they don't score and concede many, this will be a tough test.
-
Are you assuming Amaluzor is injured?

Yes, he went off early in Warmup v Gateshead for treatment, he definitely was not 100%. So I assume will be out for a week or two.

I wonder if anyone on this forum has ever said 'I'm in favour of us rotating the squad for this game'? For a meaningful game, that is. Every manager in professional football pretty much believes in squad rotation but us fans don't seem to share that view.

He could rest Cooper if his hammy is still twinging in order to rest him for the Easter Monday fixture.

If we weren't severely weakening the team by rotation, most on here would favour it. The brutal truth is that that's not the case.
Our next step should be to have a larger squad to be able to do this but at the moment we really should be playing our first choice till games are won and then subbing key players like we did last night.
Every game from now is vital and we can't afford to tinker.

That's it, it's not rocket science is it - get the game won like we did the other night, then withdraw key players.
One contradiction of the management team's approach is claiming rotation from the start is necessary due to fatigue, and yet they often make changes so bloody late in the game meaning everyone goes (almost) to the full 90.
I think we can probably get away with rotating the wingers a bit more than the spine, and at the moment Dan Mooney is chipping in with his own contribution - albeit he's still as wasteful as he was in his first spell!
-
Another biggie against a Kiddy side who need a win more than we do. I’d say the same team that started last night. Any sign of Justin A would be a bonus but hopefully he might be in contention for Oldham where I think we’ll need him more. I reckon we’ll definitely need Kosylo & Hancox experience at some stage of the game too.
Obviously there’s been a revival under Phil Brown but they’ve not won in their last 5 matches & only scored 3 in that time. We’ll never have a better chance to end our dire league record at Aggborough. Not going to be one for the purists but I am confident we’ll edge them out for all 3 points.
-
Kiddy were definitely sefcond best in the Trophy game. I hope that doesn't mean they've got something to prove
-
It's a big game for Kiddy and I'd accept they've got big ambitions to get all three points to avoid the drop. I can see that.
What I won't buy into is any acceptance on our behalf that our desire isn't greater driven by the prize of a play off place.
If we can't generate greater hunger to win than Kiddy I'd be very disappointed in the group we've assembled.
-
We're probably playing them at a good time, now the 'new manager bounce' seems to have worn off a bit - although they've shown they're currently tough to beat.
A draw would probably leave us needing snookers with some other tough-looking games coming up, play positively and they shouldn't be able to live with us.
-
The next two games are critical. Win them and we're in the box seat for the play offs. Anything less than four points and we will probably finish just outside.
If we play on the front foot and go at them, we are fully capable of doing it. Then a good rest and regroup before our couple of tricky days out down south.
-
At least our two away games after tomorrow come with decent rest and preparation days between them. I'd be a lot more confident with 6 out of 6 in our next two games. Won't right us off until the maths isn't workable. Some of our competitors still have games against each other. Chesterfield have to play Halifax. Unfortunately for us it's probably a good time to face them now they're home and dry. We can't do more than 15 points out of 15. That would just be lovely stuff. COYR.

Tickets purchased, 3 of us travelling down. COYR

Three of us too - in the seats.
Let's go for it!

I'll be the old git with the white goatee and the walking stick looking for the bar! 😉

I'll be stood on the south stand terrace to witness our first win in ten visits spread over twenty years.
I'm using the law of averages and the fact we are the better team with the greater will to prevail.

Would maybe start Donawa over Mooney for this one. Miss Amulazor’s pace in getting us up the field.
Donawa is rapid and decent at getting back.
Get two ahead, withdraw Baines, Linney and CCC around 60/65.
-
Massive win - almost all the other top teams dropped points also.
Looking forward (nervously) to Monday. A win against Oldham more or less guarantees playoffs
-
Easiest £10.50 I ever made. Bookies had Harriers as favourites and us at 21/10 for some reason ;D
-
Quality second half. Spot on game management.
Well done to Parky, Sorvs and the lads.
-
Great win and a huge well done to those fans who travelled to Aggborough. Roll on Monday. We're scoring goals for fun atm and Oldham look like they're on freefall - what could possibly go wrong!!! :o
-
Some definite echoes of last Tuesday evening's game against Wealdstone.
A somewhat dodgy opening by us, the opposition are in the ascendancy and duly score, only for us to then puncture their optimism by responding with a swift equaliser.
Then a much improved second half, during which Ross is largely untroubled and we score some quality goals.
Lovely play by Linney in the build-up to our second goal. I sincerely hope that his substitution was merely precautionary and he'll be raring to go again on Monday.
CCC really is a delight to watch. Plus it was a real bonus to have the cushion of a two-goal lead which meant that we could afford to withdraw him after 74 minutes.
Some beneficial results elsewhere, too. Good Friday, indeed.
-
Bit of a mad one that. think 3-1 flattered us, but we should have scored 5. Very poor 1st half again followed by a vast improved 2nd half again.
RW is a problem, Donawa much better at the defending sid but offered little attack wise (although won lots of headers) where as Mooney is the polar opposite.
We've waited a long time to get points there and with other results going our way its been a Great Friday.
-
I thought we we're excellent, after a slow start. The happiest I've been at Kiddy since Neil Morton scored 30 years ago. Our first win in my 9 visits ;D

I could start an extensive list.😱

Huge win & starts the long weekend off perfectly for us all. It sounded fairly comfortable in the end which is not something you’ve ever been able to say about our games at Kiddy before now. That losing streak firmly behind us now & we look in good shape for the home straight.
Oldham huge on many levels, just hope the team gets the crowd & support they fully deserve. Sure it will be well over 4k but how much further can it be pushed upwards now.
Other results largely in our favour too, that 5th place & a home eliminator tie appears a possibility now if we keep this up.
For those of a certain vintage too & recalling our 99/2000 relegation on the final day at Moss Lane confirmed vs then Champions Kiddy, the opportunity to effectively boot them through the trap door today was very satisfying.
-
It was a Good Friday in more ways than one today…
A Great atmosphere at Aggborough and a brilliant result.
Looking forward to Monday and the visit of Oldham.
Well done one and all.
-
Finally, a visit to aggravation stadium and we come home with the 3 points. Been about 30 years which is just ridiculous. Agree with many it was a slow start, but let’s be fair the opposition were in a must win situation and it was like they were two nil down at kickoff. They had to go for it and it was easy to see them unravel as they threw everything at us in the first half and they began to tire. As Phil said, we were technically superior and that’s what saw us through. That and another heroic defensive wall with our back 5, who at times were under constant siege.
Wembley early bird ticket is starting to look appealing! ;D
-
I do hope that Kiddy find a way to stay up - a 'proper' non-league club who I'd much rather have over the likes of Boreham Wood.
-
Agree 100%.
Apart from the parking attendant, everyone was friendly and welcoming. I wish them well.
-
I know of the historic issue between us and Kiddy, but yes as others have said, much better to have them in the league than some southern no mark club.
