Will this be played on Sunday 4th November, as the day before Derby are at home to Blackpool. Don't Burton and Derby share the stewarding at both grounds?

Would be absolutely bizarre if that was the case. Surely as a football league club they need to have stewarding arrangements that don't depend on another club?

I may well be wrong, but I don't think Burton and Derby play home league matches on the same day.

Looks like this is true. I've had a glance at the two teams' fixture lists and, for example, Burton are playing Accrington at home on Sunday 9th December. Derby are at home the day before.
So I think the game could well be played on the Sunday.

At least we'd be in the 2nd round draw then!!

just got the news.  Understandably disappointed but we have to go into the game believing we can win - and we can win.

It's not a tie on anybody's wish-list but this is a game that does provide a potential route to round 2 - where more money awaits us.

They will say that the tie must be played on that weekend so they are within their rights to say its on Sunday.

City are away at West Ham  and United play Arsenal on the Saturday so we would get more floating fans on the Sunday.

I'd prefer it on the Saturday though..

Altrincham at home for us.  Possibly one of the most uninviting ties in the draw and I doubt either set of supporters will fancy that.  It's just nice to have a cup tie at home though to be fair.

As Derby are at home we have our usual tinpot steward situation which means it's almost guaranteed to be moved to either the Friday night or the Sunday afternoon.
