Title: Romance....the Flynny way.
Post by: Jezza on February 19, 2010, 08:49:37 AM
From John Laidlar's site and flynny's programme notes....made me laugh....especially when flynny goes all German at the end....

I can’t attend tonight’s match as I am on a family skiing holiday in Germany so I will be nervously awaiting news from Moss Lane. I am planning an extra special Valentine’s Day treat for Mrs. Flynn.......a trip to the Commerzbank Stadium to see the Bundesliga match between Eintracht Frankfurt and SC Freiburg......there is no end to my creative talents in the romance department!

Auf Wiedersehen Pet!!!

Herr Flynn.

Reading that took me back to my time in Germany when I was in the army..

We will have to check Herr Flynn's papers when he comes back into the country.

Maybe he has actually sneaked off to Vancouver and is taking part in the Super G...

 ;) :D

A womens dog is drowning in the sea and a passing German tourist dives in, rescues it and resuscitates it and saves its life.

I can confirm that Mrs. Flynn did indeed accompany me to the Commerzbank Arena to see Eintracht Frankfurt 2 SC Freiburg 1 last Sunday........although she has decided to go shopping in Eastbourne today....rather than watch Alty..........note made for her Annual Appraisal!

My papers were checked on my return to blighty at midnight last night.......alles in ordnung!

I used to have to tavel to Eastbourne on a regular basis on business.

The only things I remember were loads of people with Zimmer frames and the smell of stale p*ss and chlorine.

Has it changed much ?
