Just read this on bbc Football non-league-

Salisbury's manager,  Nick Holmes, says:
 
"You can look at us seriously as a decent side in this league. Anybody in this league can beat anybody else and I think its going to be tighter this year.

"Altrincham are part time and cut their cloth accordingly. They have to make up the extra hours you spend doing organising and routines.

"All the bottom four teams last year were part time and Altrincham would have gone down but for Halifax's demise."

What he says is all factually correct, perhaps how we interpret it gives some sort of indication as to how edgy we are feeling about things at present?

They've been top twice already this season so cannot, presently at least, be considered not a decent side.

We are indeed part time, in fact some of us make sure that the progress we have made as a part time side is widely known and some occasionally use it to partially explain some of our defeats as we don't have the same amount of time to work on organisation and set pieces as the full time teams.

The bottom four teams were indeed part time and there is no denying that had Halifax  not been in such a parlous state we would indeed have gone down.

Getting huffy and indignant over factually correct comments encourages stick and accusations of unrealism from fans of other clubs, most of whom need no encouragement whatsoever.
