Watch out for a fixture change ...

FA Cup result tonight - Bath 3 Swindon Supermarine 4.
Since both sides are now free on Nov 6th, what price moving the game at Bath forward ten days? Watch the website just in case ...

It would make sense for a part-time team to want to play on a Saturday in preference to a Tuesday night.

And a rarity in that it's two genuine part time teams. My favourite Bath away fixture was Kingy's first game back in 1994. Brought in Darren Heesom and Andy Green and off we went. I'd give anything for an Andy Green up front now. Not Heesom tho thanks

Did we win 1-0, or 2-1? I do remember the form picking up immensely for the rest of the season. Let's hope Ken can create something similar.

Andy Green was a proper centre forward. As for Darren Heesom - there just isn't enough quality 'taches in the game these days, and that's a real shame in my book. I'm sure he drummed for Frankie Goes to Hollywood before joining us.

Now there's a euphemism if ever I saw one.

It's happened. From official site:

NEW BATH DATE
As a consequence of Bath City's FA Cup defeat last night, both they and Altrincham are now without a game on Saturday, November 6th, when the First Round is to be played. So it has been agreed to rearrange the Bath v Altrincham league game to that date from its current date of Tuesday 16th November.

These two upcoming away matches look crucial now, with games against Wimbledon, Luton and Crawley to follow. Got to hope for four points, I'd say.

Well wouldn't you just believe it! I can cancel the hotel (losing a deposit) but doubt I can get the train tickets back.

The tuesday night away fixture at Bath was the one we'd all been making arrangements to go to. Everyone had booked a day off work as well etc.

I do feel really sorry for those people who will lose out financially as a result of this.

On the plus side we should at least take more there with it being on a Saturday. I couldn't have made it in midweek but I now have a good chance.

I would suggest that those of you ,who planned to go to the re-arranged match and spent money up front, write to the chairman with evidence of your expenditure and ask for a refund. There won't be too many of you and I think it is the least the club can do considering the way this season has gone already.

Next time it snows and it is called off, write to Michael Fish and ask for a refund
