Agreed re: "the gingerninja" - started watching Alty in 1970 and he's the best local/youth player I've seen in all that time - needs to start every game.

Just before your time we had Frank Carrodus, a Grange Estate lad who left for City for £3,000 after just a handful of games. Went on to have a decent top flight career with City and Villa. Still lives in Timperley. Duncan actually excites me more than HE did at the time.
