Well done everyone.

It has been a very long time since I have seen such an ovation for the player being substituted:Duncan Watmore. Many in the main stand stood to clap him off.

Ok it was only a poor Histon team, but you can only beat what is in front of you and we did pretty well today. I think we've got a decent 11 that can compete with anybody - it was good to have Buzz and Nicky back on the left together. Well, it gives us all a bit more hope anyway, so roll on Tuesday!

Histon may have been poor but they had a better bank holiday weekend than we did with six points and they strengthened with the two lads from M*cc.

Today was the result we should get against Histon and we got it.

Some cracking finishes and a great lift for our confidence.

Duncan Watmore is one of the most exciting things to happen to Alty for years.

His nonchalant drive into the top corner and the fact he turned away to celebrate before it went in was different class.

Oh and a certain Mr Reeves....five in five?  We've seen this before.

Job done today, lets hope we can buiild on it.

Delighted to read the positive comments about Alty today. Histon were poor, fine they were poor but we beat them convincingly. We now go into the Gains. away game with a good performance, a few goals AND a clean sheet to boost confidence.

Fingers crossed this is the start of a good run, more of the same Tuesday please Alty FC.

Duncan is one hell of a talent it feels like a young Stuart Terry or Paul Showler has appeared

Not only is he multi talented on either side of the park and in the middle but he is completely unselfish

Long may he remain at moss lane and keep showing such passion and enthusiasm

We needed that today well done lads

If there was any doubt that Damien is back to his old self, his first goal today showed it very clearly. He was practically on the floor with three defenders in attendance, yet still managed to regain his balance, control the ball beautifully, and tuck it away. Classic stuff !

It;s like people when they say Tannoy when they mean public address system. Tannoy is a brand name.

The PA was working on Monday, eventually for voice only and at reduced volume

I believe the same can be said of today

Agreed re: "the gingerninja" - started watching Alty in 1970 and he's the best local/youth player I've seen in all that time - needs to start every game.
