It's why the cup is so special. To knock out a premier league team
At Norwich is amazing.

So we were the last part-time non league club to knock out a top tier club from the FA Cup on their home ground.

Luton are a non-league team by default (or so they tell us) and are full time pros. Norwich put half a team out. Ours is still the greater achievement by some distance.

Hard to argue against Taxi Phil on that. A genuine part time club whereas Luton are full time.  I do not want to take away form Lutons achievement at all but that is the context.

Oh yeah nearly forgot about Macc - the dirty sheep worrying bummers.

Last time we played Wigan in the cup we beat them one nil. OH YES!

From the official FA Cup website:

"It means Paul Buckle’s side become the first ever Conference side to win away against Premier League opposition - and only the seventh non-League side to reach the Fifth Round in the post-war era."

Only technically true if you're talking about since the formation of the Premier league - if not it's just wrong

For me, the Premier League marked an end, rather than a beginning. I'm old enough to remember Alf Ramsey taking Ipswich straight from promotion to be champions in 1962. In these days of ridiculous money, squabbles over TV rights, and teams without a single British player, you would never remotely envisage seeing that sort of thing again. And that, for me, is not good.
