Just for the record
« on: April 03, 2015, 11:43:28 PM »

Our current average league attendance is 1,245, if no one came to the Telford game it would end up being 1,190.

Either way that's our highest average league attendance since the 1990/91 season and only bettered in the Alliance Premier / Conference era before that in

1979/80 - 1946 (Champions)
1980/81 - 1772 (Champions)

1986/87 - 1466 (5th)
1987/88 - 1349 (14th)

Reasons to be cheerful I think. Other than lamenting what a great opportunity this club missed to build on it's success when automatic promotion was finally introduced in the late 80s......

But apart from that, very encouraging for the future.

I think that the new bar has helped a lot as well as good football being played

More people use it and stay in it longer

Think yesterday attracted more than a saturday game as less local games were played yesterday.Although away followings are also probably up we have an average of 1000 plus home fans which is good. The new hall helps.

Fantastic to see the average gates on the up. Community hall and style of play helps. Keep it going.

It's been a good year for the club, on and off the pitch. Depending on who comes up with Barrow and who comes down from the FL I think we might even be able to better those numbers next year. I agree that the CSH has deffo helped in this regard.

Attendance wise we could do with Barnet and Forest Green going up and Tranmere and Carlisle to go down.

Tranmere have four game from their six left against teams fighting for play off spots. They could get out of it yet but it looks tough for them. Putting my selfish hat on I would like York to come down again. Nice easy game to get to.

For me it's a case of who comes down with Cheltenham, who are having an awful run. Tranmere would be a nice easy day out, but I'd prefer Carlisle personally.

Coming up I think Barrow have always travelled in good numbers aand its a game with some history between us. Pain in the bum to get to in mideeek but I hope they come up.

Guiseley or Chorley with them, both short trips where we should have a solid folowing at the away  games. No idea about the clubs coming up from the south, though a trip to Havant and Waterlooville could fit in well for me domesticaly.

In the South its a poor choice.

Bromley being the clear best option.

Boreham Wood and Havant = knuckle draggers

Gosport, probably see above but also not great transport wise

For Basingstoke see Havant...

We need to keep our fingers crossed for Whitehawk, in a suburb or Brighton

Whitehawk play their games at the Enclosed Ground, beautifully set into the South Downs, close to Brighton Marina.
