Fantastic result that. I couldn’t make it because of family commitments unfortunately but if you’d told me at 10pm on Tuesday night we’d beat Woking 3-1 today I’d have been amazed, some turnaround. Linney already looks the real deal.
On a separate note, having seen some good historical research on Twitter, the average points tally to stay up since the league went to four down has been 46, although closer to 50 is not uncommon. Suspect we therefore might still need another 2-3 wins alongside a handful of draws.
Rochdale having collected 1/12 in the four games since Toby joined them & now 6 points adrift of safety is very amusing too.

So far as I'm concerned, if we're good enough to beat Woking 3-1, we're not going down, especially with Bennett returning who, as I posted previously, is at the top end this season for goals per minutes played of Altrincham players.
I also did a bit of research on the Rochdale situation ("Rothman's" year books, not Twitter!), and the least points in recent years that a team finishing third from bottom of the FL has had after 29 games is 21 for Hartlepool in 2014-15, eventually ending up with 45 points. (1.4 points per game). Rochdale were on 20 points from 29 games, and currently on 21 points from 32 games. I reckon they will need at least 21 points from 14 games to stay up (1.5 points per game). After a damaging home defeat to Gillingham in a relegation six pointer, the writing does appear to be on the wall for them.
(P.S.
Twitter? I didn't realise they did footy stats!)
