I would've thought sunderland would want him loaned at a higher level so abit of a surprise

makes no sense to me. Game time yes but not much value at that level for SFC or Duncan.

Duncan should absolutely shine at that level and quickly make a name for himself......I'm gutted he didn't score on his full debut and am convinced if given a run now in sunderland's first team he'd score 5-10 goals with similar assists....he just would......

Ryan Shotton had a great attitude and was fantastic for alty but was nowhere near the player Duncan is....just as a comparison.....

Don't forget he is still studying at Newcastle Uni so this loan move would make perfect sense as it would enable him to get regular games at a decent level while still studying.
