Altrincham FC First Team / Four Points
« on: April 02, 2009, 07:22:09 PM »
I think that a further 4 points would see us safe.

With the next two games being Lewes and Eastbourne I'm fully expecting to be relaxed come 10:00pm Tuesday night. I can then enjoy the last five games (including a bank holiday Monday in Wales and a final day on the lash in Cambridge) without my heart being in my mouth.

PS. How did Wilkinson play on Tuesday?

Now the date has been set (23rd march) does anyone know which ground it's at?

I went to Witton on Saturday and the pitch is in really bad shape, so I hope it's not there again.

Will the Nantwich lot be wearing those green and white jester hats again?

I hope the team turns up this year and win in an impressive attacking display as all being well we'll have 50+ points and pretty much assured of BSP survival.

See he's joined Mansfield just in time for Saturday.

The season of goodwill to all men has well and truely finished.

It's the 'lucky mascot'!

That's the last five times we've won when he's lead us out .

Altrincham FC First Team / The Facts and some Questions
« on: November 19, 2008, 05:26:25 PM »
FACTS :

There were 2,397  in the ground before the lights went out. The other 1,000 came in after (but we're not declaring them)

Someone was stood stood on my spot in the Golf Road End and I had to watch the game 3 yards from where I'm used to.

The performance didn't lack passion and the players didn't bottle it. We just need a creative mid-fielder who can put the quality ball through.

We're shocking at dead ball situations from throwins to corners.

In the 3.5 hours of open play  I've never seen so few shots on or off target.

Luton's  right back (the No 2) was the best player in both games. He won't be playing non-league next year.

Chris Vessay is a liar, he said we would win on pens. He should be run out of town on Saturday.

QUESTIONS

What was wrong with Little?

Why on earth did Senior get subbed?

Why did Danylyk or Elam not take a pen?

Altrincham FC First Team / Squad

Coburn will out for at least two week's, Street out for season and Denham has little vision in one eye. Add the fact that Waterfall can't paly in the FA cup there's going to be more space on our bench on Saturday than Histon's ground on a good day.

Don't want to sound negative but we could go out of three cup's in 10 day's. We really are very thin on the ground.

Altrincham FC First Team / Two Things That Annoyed Me Today
« on: October 04, 2008, 07:39:14 PM »
1 - No beer mats on the tables

2 - Walking out of the bar for the first half to be greeted by Bryan Adams and 'Summer of 69'

FFS talk about how to try and ruin and top day.

Superb performance by all today, lets keep the unbeaten run going for a few more games.

Altrincham FC First Team / Chris Denham (again) and Yesterday
« on: September 21, 2008, 09:09:19 AM »
I believe that Denham was left out of the squad because he been touting himself to other clubs.

If this is the case then it was right to omit him and sadly he won't be with us much longer. The thing that disturbs me most is why and what made him want out.

Yesterday was  another woeful performance against a team that were worse that Vaxhall and may not win a game all season. There's no one in midfield that can pass the ball (Danylyk had his poorest 90 mins I've seen)  with any sort of accuracy.

The quicker McGregor is made captain and Lawton put on the bench the better but this won't happen.

I can see Senior following Denham out the door if he doesn't start on Tusday aswell.

All in all not  a good day even though we collected 3 points.

Altrincham FC First Team / Two Things From Yesterday
« on: August 10, 2008, 10:27:30 AM »
Absolute great resut yesteday, two things that stood out for me were :

1 - Peyton not even on the bench.

2 - Meechan started instead of Ellam.

Two barve decisions from the management and fair play to them

Bring on Tuesday and as the Barrow manager said 'it's a 6 pointer'

Altrincham FC First Team / Captain Required

Now the barrel chested one has gone who will get the armband?

Personally I hope it's Lawton as he seems to be natural leader and is also very vocal.

Altrincham FC First Team / Northwich Signings

They've already signed a left back from Southport and I've  heard that they will be siginging Seddon from Bridge. Fek me how big a squad are they aiming for?

Altrincham FC First Team / The Next Three Games
« on: January 26, 2008, 05:01:13 PM »
They are all very winnable and the way we are performing I'm expexting 7 points min.

The loan players have made a massive difference to both performance and attitude. The team now believes it can win matches and avoid the drop. Please let us do our upmost to keep them for as long as possible.
