Next Seasons Fixtures ...
« on: June 13, 2007, 08:01:30 PM »

I notice on Confguide that someone has said the fixtures for next season will not be coming out at the same time as the Premiership and the Football League but onl 28th June.
Am I reading to much into this ... would this take us beyond the CVA expiry date for Crawley?  ::)

I can't be arsed to go on confguide and find it but a quouote from someone at the agm is that the fixtures will be out in the last week of June (Mon 25th>). I believe Crawleys cva date is 30th June. At which point one of th efollowing will happen, the majeeds will pay up :o, they won't and Begbies Trainor will apply for an extension so they can sell the 'chav flat' adn pay off the cva, they won't and the clb will be wound up as the creditors decide to take what they can - in whcih case the BSP will run with 23 teams (leagues line up can't be changed after the agm, switched around that is), they won't and the BSP will just chuuck them out on a technicality adn run with 23 teams.  :o

If they run with 23 teams, I take it that will be one less relegation place?

You would have thought so. I suspect it won't come to that though. Obviously if they were chucked out the correct thing would be for Tamworth to be reprieved. However, the agm settles everything, at least away from legal technicalities. i.e. say Boston decided to appeal against the ruling - or even worse, in Worksop trying to get them demoted again a court actaully dedcided it was illegal - and it was deciced ther e was no grounds to chuck them out then the conference would just have to run with 25 teams. That is, tehy could amend the decision because they were foorced to with boston but not involving other clubs, if that makes sense.

Just rang the Conference office.  They've got new staff and are moving offices to Birmingham on 30th June.  CAnnot tell us a date for release of fixtures as they don't know when they can do it.  All they can say is that they are being looked at and it will be soon.....

At least they were honest  8)
