That would be bizarre - we had more forwards than we can use last night - Reeves & Rankine when we generally do better with just one of them, Lawrie out of position and Bowerman on the bench.  Why strengthen up front when we are desperately short at the back?

we knew Rankine wasnt a goalscorer and Bowerman was sh*t when we signed them. So what we going to do now? Sign someone who will get more goals than Reeves? Or is better than what we signed in the summer?

We didnt score that many last year, and went and signed a striker decent player but not a scorer and another who had no track record whatsoever.

Big mistakes were made at this club in the summer, which are coming home to roost now. We need a conference standard manager.

We dont have one, it is clear for all to see. We had problems with squad strength in the autumn, nothing was done, now to little to late has been done, every other club down there has changed manager and brought in more fresh faces in an attempt to bolster, yet we stick with what we have and continue to sink, we as a club need to wake up.

See you at Salford

To be fair toffee the evidence would suggest Bowerman is not good enough

Bowerman for me is a carbon-copy of Steven Gillespie. Football league pedigree, a promising start, followed by a couple of really weak performances. Lee hasn't started him for months, even when there were only 12 fit players to choose from, and he's lucky to get 15 minutes as a sub. By next month he won't be getting off the bench at all, and I'll wager he's gone in April.

I'd send him out on loan if we get a replacement to get some game time undr his belt.

I'm loathed to judge any player on a series of cameo appearances, he seemed to do OK at the start of the season and may do OK again if he gets a run of games.  He's third in line for what is usally one spot up front.  I don't disagree that he will be gone in April though.

If it's a new number 10 to challenge Lawrie it makes a bit more sense

If he's bringing in another striker, then he's lost the plot.

FOUR-FIVE-F*CKING ONE Lee - that's where you got your points from last season, and it's where you'll get them again.

The 'striker' might be a number 10 sort of striker to play behind Reeves/Rankine in a 451 (replacing Lawrie). Just playing devils advocate...

I'm certainly expecting a midfield player with a decent scoring ratio.
