To be fair there loads, it only the last few years there not been so many

Sorry if I offending anyone by saying that

What league were Newcastle in when they signed Waddle from Tow Law?

Don't forget Gorden Shat,  straight from shepshed to derby county
yeah Shat was a good player, think he was in the same Shepshed team as Doug Newton. I bet not many on here remember him

You're probably right, Jimmy. I don't think Keegan ever played at top flight game for Newcastle, he retired when they got promoted.

Cyrille Regis springs to mind if not already mentioned. Hayes to WBA.

I doubt Duncan could emulate Cyrille Regis's feat. Signed for Albion from Hayes at the end of the 1976-7 season. Went straight into the first team at the end of August 1977, scored twice on his debut in a league cup tie, and netted a brilliant goal on his top flight league debut three days later. Still one of my all time favourite strikers.

Cyrille along with Cunningham and batson nicknamed the 3 degrees then he went on to marry one of the real 3 degrees

Another that played for England although no English blood or birthrite. However was he actually a first team player at Hayes or was he one of the many poached from lower League/non League club's youth system?

Here is a very old and original one - Bert Trautmann St Helens to Man City and probably the best Goalkeeper never to get an international cap.

Les Ferdinand was also a product of Hayes, moved from there to QPR.

Curtis Obeng moved from Wrexham to Swansea last year. So far he hasn't even made the bench for them though.

I think Swansea signed their current left back Neil Taylor from Wrexham too.
