I think we've used up the last of our nine lives today.
We've got to start winning again. I think we're amazingly lucky to be still in with a shout!!

I don't think today has made too much difference for our push personally. Everyone has lost or drawn and if anything we're a point closer. Granted, this game was a good opportunity to make major ground but I've got a feeling that this season is going to go right down to the wire. Looking at the games we have coming up we've got:

Sat 24th   Altrincham   v   Solihull Moors
Wed 28th   Corby   v   Altrincham
Sat 31st   Nuneaton   v   Altrincham
Sat 07th   Altrincham   v   Hyde
Mon 09th   Guiseley   v   Altrincham
Sat 14th   Altrincham   v   FC Halifax
Sat 21st   Eastwood Town   v   Altrincham
Sat 28th   Altrincham   v   Gainsborough

We'll win a few and lose a few just like we have been all season but it looks like all the teams around us will do the same. For instance Gainsborough lost to Vauxhall today which would've caused meltdown on our forum had it been us.

My point is that I don't think we're necessarily still lucky to be where we are but that every other team is just as inconsistent as us. There are a lot of games from now until the end of the season which are between all the teams in the top 8 or 9 and I can see it going right down to the wire, especially for the 4th and 5th spots and Alty are right in the middle of it.

It's essential that we take maximum points from the next two games - and there's no reason why we shouldn't. The next four games after those are the key to our season.

Well Nuneaton are in second place and have just beat Hyde today, it's not exactly a disaster if we don't beat them.
I'd love it if we could just casually brush them aside like we did against them at home though.
As for Solihull we have to win that no excuses

This.  These should be six points in the bank and then lets see where that takes us.

None of the no disrespect nonsense, we should beat Soilihull at home and Corby seem in a bit of bother at the moment.

If Guisley win their two games in hand

They're 5 points behind Hyde, and Hyde have to play them among other top sides

If Hyde were to finish 2nd it's highly likely we'd play them in the SF of the playoff if we were to reach it

If that happened it would be great to play Hyde , it would be very hard for them to recover from not going up automatically and raise it again for the playoffs after leading for so long.
