It will be sad not to see it on our visits in future

Nothing is sacred in this country anymore - The fkn suits will sell everything off in time

Ok it was just "another pub" but it will have had a lot more character than the fkn leggo replacement they shove up in its place

Shrewsbury is going the same way just a landscape of fkn retail parks and a town centre full of Estate agents, cafes and charity shops surrounded by empty units

I do wonder if removing the features of a town that give it its character necessarily make it a better place.

As a pub I am not overly bothered, but as another bit of Altrincham's heritage, history and character then it is a great, great shame that it could not have been kept in some form.

As a pub it was an utter disgrace to Altrincham. It's a shame the building is going, but I won't mourn it's loss as a pub. It was a dive.

£100million to redevelop on the land. Am I the only one that finds this figure astonishing?

Perhaps they should do something useful with the money like invest in the local football club.

The Orange Tree has had a 'lease for sale' sign on it for at least a week now to my knowledge.........and the same people run the brickies...so no surprise
