4 wins and a draw
« on: March 28, 2012, 10:47:27 PM »

That should see us home, fantastic 2nd half performance tonight, let's have some belief and get behind them, 6 cup finals to go.If we hit form now, you just never know, get yourselves to nuneaton, we can do it, and we deserve it after years of bad luck, let's do this.

Is this the same team who were written off for the playoffs 24 hours ago?

I would say it's more like the team that should have sealed this weeks ago and not caused such frustration   :P

After nearly blowing my calculator up predicting every kind of outcome for the top 8, I agree with this.

4 wins and a draw is the benchmark.

I think there will be a few teams who hit that magic 70 and luckily we have goal difference in our favour.

Going to be tough that is for sure.

Given our fixture list from here on in, if we make the top five we will have earned it. I agree that 70pts may be enough but I fear it's the biggest of 'big asks'.

Realistic - not when 5 games are against teams above us.

Realistic - not when 5 games are against teams above us.

Say that, but look at the other games with these sides

Hyde: 2-1 away defeat, unlucky not to take anything from the game, home advantage
Guiseley: 2-2 after taking a 2-0 lead. Very tricky game, but shown we can match them.
Halifax: 4-2 away win, home advantage
Gainsborough: 2-0 away defeat, could argue we allowed them to look good by being poor, and home advantage
Nuneaton: 2-0 home win, go into the game after a morale boosting win.

Whilst I'm not denying these are tough games, they are games where we have no reason to fear them and can go out for the wins required.
