Here we go again.
When did I say there was no talent?
I just find it very boring, plus they didn,t look like scoring at the end, so they can't be that fantastic.

The penalty area is the same size be it at the Nou Camp, Moss Lane or Stamford Park...
Are you sure the departure of 2 solid centre backs didnt make a difference more?

that's pretty much describing me these days.  I'd rather watch Chesterfield V Torquay, or Garforth V Frickley Athletic  than Barcelona V Chelsea.  Best of all I'd like to see Alty more.

Same here. If people want to be connoiseurs and wax lyrical about the very best players then good luck to them.

Football for me nowadays is leaving home at half two, enjoying a game, getting a brew from the snack bar, seeing my mates and hopefully going home happy cos Alty did well.

Just because something is technically better doesn't mean everyone is going to enjoy it more.

You are simply wrong about the pitch size, it made no difference. Barcelona were stifled, made to play in the middle of the pitch and looked largely one dimensional.

It was a great game to watch in my opinion. The first time i've ever thought that Lampard was pure class on the pitch.

It's just amazing that he stayed on it after that 'tackle'

Brilliant example of an enforcer that, a little bit of handbags just after the previous break in play and BOOM Lampard came in and settled it straight away. Brilliant imho

I think a general point which has been missed is that first legs are often tighter and less exciting affairs with one or both sides adopting a more cagey approach so as to give themselves a platform for the return leg.

I'm afraid the "bigger pitch" theory is a load of arse gravy!  :)
