Desperately lacking yesterday in the middle of the park. We need a quality defensive midfielder that can pass, and give us a bit  of steel.

I agree! And with the money that got given to Sinnot from the FA Cup we most certainly can afford a quality CM!

He'll need strength, determination, good passing, can help defend and to keep calm on the ball, which were lacking at the moment!

I know it splits to forum talking about old players, but Sinnott never really replaced Anthony Danylyk and we have lacked a ball winning midfielder ever since.

We have a lot of nice one touch/two touch football and will always create chances going forward, but there is no one in our team (with the possible exception of Rogers) who will stick a foot in and make it difficult for an opposition to play.

rodgers has been ok if unspectacular imo

Rogers does the dirty job very well. In games like yesterday his absence was massive.

The problem with Rogers is that we only get a couple or so games from him , before he is injured , we really missed him yesterday.

Agreed altough I'd be happy with three or four even if a couple were on loan

Just to clarify, I know nothing, but I am sure we will see something like this happen in the coming weeks or so.

Assuming the weather doesn't intervene, there are 24 points up for grabs between now and the new year. Needless to say, these games will define the rest of our season. We already know Hall has a suspension coming and with two games a week you can bet we'll pick up injuries and possibly even more suspensions.

It is therefore imperative that changes are made to the squad as soon as possible in order to provide us with decent quality cover. I have no doubt the management are already trying to address this and I'm not criticising them in any way. However, I think we can all see the need for certain changes/additions to our current squad. Let's hope this happens soon!
