FT. Alty Ladies 2 Macc Town Ladies 0.
Well done :) AND they missed a penalty!
-
The Alty Ladies bringing sunshine again!
Ace work.
-
Well done girls.
Great stuff
-
An excellent performance against a team which plays two levels above us and a totally deserved victory
-
Oh ffs just play the ladies in the 1st team they seem to have the winning habit mentality and would be sure to be the smile onto all our faces that lee promised us 2 1/2 years ago!!!
Ladies, your loyal servant........

...and why not!
-
Edlestin!
-
Beating Macc! All is good in the world!
Well done ladies!
-
It was Macc Town who missed the penalty when goalkeeper Lizzie Brereton produced a fine save on 52 mins to deny the visitors taking the lead after the referee adjudged that the Macc player was pushed over in the area.
-
Alty Ladies - slightly disliking and looking down their noses at Macc Town since...
-
It seems that we have been drawn away to Stockport County LFC in the next round of the County Cup.
Stockport are the holders and. I believe, play only two levels below the Womens Super League.
-
gossiping about that one who used to live in vicky flats you know that one who had her kids took away by the social since.......
-
Sorry Mark
What the heck are you on about?
My post was intended to be informative to some people on here who are actually interested in how one of the teams representing Altrincham FC is progressing.
-
Another good win today for the Ladies against a Wilmslow Town team who started the game above us in the League and finished it below us.
Very tough physical opposition who tried their best to stop us playing football and drag us into a kicking match (unsuccessfully)
We are now joint top of the table on points, (third on goal difference) having been defeated only once before Christmas.
-
Another great result for the lassies - keep it up
-
I say again we should hold a ladies match one Saturday after the 1st team match...I'm sure a lot would stay behind and cheer them on....their efforts this year should be rewarded with such a chance to play on the hallowed turf in front of a boisterous mausoleum..... I am sure the ladies would love this!
I'm also sure their husbands and partners could sort the Saturday tea out for a change.....
-
that's a good idea. The England T20 teams do that don't they?
-
Where can we find the league table for the ladies? Is it on line anywhere?

I notice the cup competition the Ladies recently got a win in had to be played elsewhere as an enclosed pitch was required. Perhaps in the next round the club could see if it's possible to use Moss Lane?
Speaking of our other teams playing at the ground, I notice our academy thingy side is playing there tomorrow. Being an unemloyed young fellow with far too much time on his hands, think I'll wander along...
-
Next month sees a tough run of fixtures starting with :
5th Jan A v Warrington who are currently 2nd in the league
12th Jan A v Chester City in the League Challenge Cup QF. Chester are a division above in Cheshire Div 1
19th Jan A v Stockport County Cheshire Cup 1st Round. Stockport play in the Northern Combination, 4 divisions above.
26th Jan Av Crewe Alex who are currently top of the league
2nd Feb H v Wilmslow who are currently 4th in the league.
-
Tomorrow the Ladies face what will, without doubt be the biggest challenge of the season when we make the trip to Stockport Sports to take on Stockport County LFC in the Cheshire County FA Ladies Challenge Cup.
Stockport are the current holders and play four levels above Altrincham (equivalent to the first team playing a Championship side)
Kick Off is 2.00pm
Wish us luck
-
It gets better - Stockport are actually top of their League
So, it's like Alty playing Leicester City away
-
Today the Alty Ladies finally played the League Cup Quarter Final against a Chester team from the Division above us in the League
Full Time Result:
Altrincham 5 Chester 0
So the Semi Final beckons
-
I also believe the Six Nations play the ladies after men. I certainly heard them say it was happening at Twickenham yesterday.
Great way to keep people in the ground and especially good if you could have a drink on the Mausoleum whilst watching?
-
Well done ladies
-
Wow! Fantastico :-)
-
Giant killing Chester...again!
-
Result from today's League fixture (in the Style of the vidiprinter)
Altrincham FC Ladies 9 (Nine) Irby Ladies 2
Goals:
Tracey Blanchard-Webb (4)
Hannah Shufflebotham (2)
Sam Briggs
Cloe Allsop
Chloe Brereton
On now to next week's League Challenge Cup Semi Final away at Urmston Meadowside
-
:)
-
Great stuff!
-
You would not want to be in the Irby changing room after that defeat......
-
Well done girls

I would ;)

Tomorrow the Ladies play in their first ever Semi Final in only the third season since inception.
We travel to Urmston Meadowside, who play in Division One of our League, in the League Challenge Cup.
Although we defeated a side from Division One in the Quarter Final this will be a much harder game.
The match takes place at Lees Field in Urmston with Kick Off 2.00pm
Any and all support will be hugely appreciated
-
How many goals has Tracy Blanchard Webb scored now this season
-
32 in 16 appearances Steve
-
32 in 16 appearances Steve
BLOODY HELL.
At any level of the game that is a mighty impressive tally. Cracking
COME ON ALTY,
-
Have we got any links to the ladies league table?

If Tracy has Reevesy's babies we will have the best goalscorers in thew country!
-
The Altrincham Ladies were once again successful this afternoon defeating Urmston Meadowside 2-0
Goals from Tracey Blanchard Webb, one in each half and an exceptional team performance mean that, in only the third year since inception Alty ladies have reached the League Challenge Cup Final.
Another notable fact is that the Ladies have reached the final without having conceded a goal in the competition
Thanks to Grahame and Daisy Rowley, Alan and Simon Ainsley, Dawn Abbott and Fozzie for their support this afternoon
-
Girls.. once again well done - go and enjoy your final and bring back the cup.
Phil... where, when and who are the opponents in the final mate.

Great news. Would be superb if the final was at ML

Thanks Ray
We know the opponents are Crewe - we have played them twice already this season winning once and losing once
We believe quite strongly that the final will be at Lostock Gralam FC
We await confirmation of the date

Just this evening had confirmation whilst on the way to / in the pub
The Ladies Cup Final versus Crewe is to be played at Lostock Gralam FC (behind the Slow & Easy) on Sunday April 27th. Kick Off 2.00pm
Please, if you are able, come and support the Ladies in our first ever Final. It will mean a lot
-
Following a disappointing result at Warrington last Sunday Altrincham Ladies bounced back to win 7-2 away at Heswall this afternoon
Four goals from Tracey B-W, two from Aimee and a 25 yarder from Cloe
-
Yesterday the Ladies recovered from a 3-1 Half Time deficit to eventually register a 4-3 win
Goals from Sue Roberts, Hannah Shufflebotham, Lizzie Brereton(GK)(pen) and Tracey Blanchard Webb.
Tracey's goal being our fiftieth of the season

That's the sort of character we want to see. Well done ladies.

Today the Ladies secured third place in the League with a 13-2 Home win over Heswall. This with three League games remaining
Goals by Aimee Gibson (3), Cloe Allsop (3), Sam Briggs, Heather Scott, Sarah McManus, Brogan Walsh and Tracey Blanchard Webb (3, which takes her to 41 for the season)
Considering this is only the Ladies third season, to have secured third spot in a competitive League and to have also made a Cup Final has been very impressive.
-
No ambition

Do the top 2 earn promotion ATS?
-
Top two definitely I believe but, depending on circumstances it may extend to three
-
Just a reminder to anyone who may be interested
Altrincham Ladies, in only their third season since formation, play in their first ever Cup Final this Sunday, April 27th when the opposition will be provided by Crewe
Kick Off is at 2.00pm and the game is to be played at Lostock Gralam FC, just behind the Slow & Easy Pub
Any and all support will be most welcome.
The Ladies have achieved so, so much this year and it would be great if they could be rewarded with some significant support
-
Wish I could make it, but getting from Didsbury to Lostock Gralam without a car on Sunday is pretty difficult, or at least pretty expensive.
not really that difficult, direct train from Stockport, Altrincham or Manchester
-
Good luck ladies. Win lose or draw you have done us proud!
-
Radio Robins is broadcasting full live coverage of this game.
Kick Off is at 2pm with coverage starting at 1.55pm & the commentator is Brian Flynn
You can listen to Radio Robins on the internet by visiting the website at www.radiorobins.com & clicking one of the 4 Player icons towards the top of the page.
-
Anyone know the final score?
-
They lost 1 nil but great effort to get this far.
-
Crewe scored the only goal of the game early in the second half of extra-time.....a volley from about 22 yards that went in off the inside of the post.
Crewe were generally on top & hit the woodwork at least three times, but Alty defended really welll throughout.
Great effort in front of a crowd of about 150.
-
Excellent effort from the Ladies today - couldn't be prouder of them
Also many many thanks to anyone who took the time to come and support us today.
We tried our best, just sorry we couldn't bring home a Trophy
-
Firstly Thanks to everyone who gave the Ladies players who were able to attend yesterday such a marvellous reception.
Sadly a number of the Ladies are Students, some work on Saturdays and a couple were away with it being Bank Holiday but the reception was very much appreciated
Secondly The Ladies completed their Home League Programme with a 9-0 victory over Whitchurch Alport this afternoon - Goals from Cloe A (4) Tracey B-W (3), Hayley and Aimee
-
The Ladesi played the final game of our third season today winning 4-2 away a Runcorn Linnets

Great ending to a superb weekend.
Well done girls (And the boys who train/manage you) :D
-
They don't do draws! Great season for the ladies - congratulations one and all.
-
Just an update
The Ladies played their final pre season fixture this afternoon, winning 4-3 away at Winsford United who play two levels above us.
Goals from Georgia Plant, Tracey Blanchard Webb(2) and Aimee Gibson.
Lizzie Brereton also saved a penalty.
The League Season for the Ladies begins this coming Wednesday with a challenging fixture against Wythenshawe Amateurs. Kick Off 6.30 at Mersey Valley Sports Club
-
Well done girls. Have a great season and most of all, Enjoy it
-
Have they a right winger ?
-
Indeed we do, in fact we have two or three capable of playing wide rigt, one of whom impressed young Mr distancetraveller when he kindly came to watch us at Whitchurch last season
-
As you may have seen the Ladies were unfortunately defeated on Wednesday by a strong Wythenshawe Amateurs side.
However there were lots of positives to be taken from the game, not leat of which being that we had far and away the best player on the pitch on our side.
Onward and upward and thanks for the support

Joking apart Wayne, Lee, Neil and the rest of the Club are extremely supportive of what we do for which we are obviously very grateful
-
I'm very grateful for what Jenny H does for the club, but that doesn't mean I want her to mange the Under 8's...
Sorry
I'm confused here.
What precisiely is the point you are trying to make?
-
The Ladies returned to action today visiting Wallasey Wanderers and returning triumphant after a 7-3 win with hat tricks from Aimee Gibson and Cloe Allsop and a seventh goal courtesy of Georgia Plant
-
Well done ladies....
-
On behalf of the Ladies - Thank You Ray
-
Today the Ladies travelled to Welsh Premier League side Llandudno Junction Ladies returning with a 4-3 victory.
Goals from Emma Booth (2) Lizzie Brereton (who also saved a penalty) and Tracey Blanchard Webb
-
Well done, some of the ladies fixtures sound better than the first teams at times.
I don't think I've ever heard of a better name than Llandudno Junction Ladies.
-
Yesterday the Ladies took on the League Leaders, currently unbeaten Warrington Wolverines in the League Challenge Cup first round
Ninety pulsating minutes plus extra time on a heavy pitch couldn't separate the teams in what was an exceptional advert for Women's Football so it went to penalties
Alty slotted home the sixteenth penalty of the shootout to progress through to round two 5-4
Many thanks to those who came to watch We hope you enjoyed it

Just a brief advert if I might?
Altrincham Ladies take on Warrington Wolverines this coming Sunday, a mere two weeks after the teams met in the League Cup and could only be separated by penalties after extra time
The following Sunday, February 15th, again at home, the Ladies enter the Cheshire County Ladies Cup, taking on Macclesfield.
It is anticipated that both will be good games as all three teams try to play attractive football.
Admission is free so please come along and support the Ladies
-
Both of these presumably at Mersey Valley, Phil?
If the Warrington game is anything like the cup game, it should be a corker. Two good football playing sides with pace out wide. Will try to make it if I can.
Same with Macc; how many times can we do Macc this season?!
Decent setup down at Mersey Valley too, would be good to see a few more down there to support the ladies and watch a very good standard of footy indeed.
-
Thanks for your kind words Mike - As I say we do try to play the "right way"
Yes, both at Mersey Valley although the Macc game will have an earlier Kick Off in case Extra Time and Penalties are needed. I'm sure you'll agree we did well to finish the Warrington Cup game without recourse to Miners Lamps

Unfortunately, despite their best efforts the ladies were defeated 3-1 by a very very good Warrington Wolverines team today.
Many thanks to those of you who came to watch

The Ladies were once again successful this afternoon, defeating Macclesfield Town Ladies 4-3 in the Cheshire County Cup after another excellent game of football.
Alty goals were an Aimee Gibson Hat Trick and an Own Goal and the game was watched by, amongst others Stuart Coburn.
Thanks to Stuart and everyone else who came to support us.
