Spoke to a friend who works at the Freeman in Newcastle - she says we should be okay as although rain is forecast it's not supposed to freeze until Monday

The danger tomorrow is frozen pitch. It will be minus overnight and wont get much above freezing through the day. Snow shouldn't be a problem.

Should be fine, last time I went there was 5" of snow in Newcastle but nowt in Blyth, being coastal I suppose, it was Fckn freezing though, even my Geordie mate put a coat on although he did claim it was purely because it had pockets.

Unexpected and unforecast freeze leads to postponement of match and my friend being late on shift because she couldn't get into her car :(
