Purely from the commentary if we do anything other than lose this game I'll be amazed

Could be just the sort of game we win.....opposite of appearing to be comfortably in control and then losing

Stalybridge home last season -first time we came from behind to win under Lee Sinnott.

And richmans  late winner against Vauxhall earlier in the season for a 90+ goal

Beaten by the champions for me.

Top quality player in every department, they misplaced about 5 passes all night.

Another lack lustre performance from us though, too many didn't even take part tonight.

13k a week or no 13k a week, that was a quality Guisely side to which we simply had no answer.

We need some fresh legs in now to spark things again somehow.

We were absolutely woeful tonight. Lawrie was utterly useless, Moult was well below the level we've seen lately, Watmore got little service, Reeves was anonymous.

Bringing on Brooke totally baffled me - another Sinnott blooper sub. Thank God for England's number one, without whom it could have been 5 or 6. Of the rest, only Hall and Richman can really hold their heads up.

If Luca is out for a while, we've got major problems. Most unhappy this evening.

Top quality player in every position..............................

I don't think so with Kevin Holsgrove on the pitch.

Or is this another case of someone else turning our rejects into superstars.

thought Rogers and Richman played for the shirt tonight, too many players do not stand up when it counts. Nothing stuck up front which was frustrating and when Lawrie had the BIG chance to put us 2.1 up he nearly hit the corner flag. They were a lot better than us but if that had gone in who knows.

They won't win it. They looked good because we were absolute crap and totally clueless.

4-1-4-1 formation just did not work, reeves left isolated, lawrie needed up front to supply through balls.  Rodgers and richman played well.  This year our players are up to it, the tactics are not.

The manager is not the problem, I think we just need to come to terms with the fact that with our budget we will struggle to even challenge for the playoffs.A new manager wouldn't be able to change that.

Nothing wrong with our budget at all, it won't be enough to win the league but it certainly enough to get in the playoffs.  Management have never complained about the budget.

If you have Walshaw on your bench you have a quality squad.

The management team can't really complain about the budget because they knew what it was from the start. My point is that all the blame can't be put at the manager's door. We have to realise that we are no longer a big club on the pitch in this league anymore.

Seriously mate, thats been the default answer for performing poorly at the level above for the past  five years. Lets look at a micronism, we are the dearest club in the league, we had 700 through the door tonight,in poor weather, after 2 straight defeats and only 2 home wins all season. No one else barring the vauxhall v chester derby got anywhere near us.That excuse simply doesnt hold water at feeder league level, sorry.

From what I'm led to believe the budget is competetive I personally think the team would make playoffs if they had a better manager

The day we are not a big club in this league, on or off the pitch, is the day we should lock the gates and call it a day. That's all I'm going to say on the matter. Ludicrous!

Let's be fair for a second, the management have not complained about the budget.

As for us not being a big club in this league, that's simply bollocks.  We're tiny in the Conference but in this league we have all the ingredients to be a big club barring a sugar daddy.

700 home fans, steady 100 away fans, ageing but decent ground, hard working pool of volunteers, internet radio, quality website, fans around the country and world, 37 junior teams, successful youth team sending players through.

I've just realised you said on the pitch but typing the above made me feel a bit better.

This is going to get like the 2 year plan that was never said.

One person has said on here the budget isn't good enough to compete.  The manager hasn't.

Everyone has opinions on him but lets not beat him for things he hasn't said.

Tonight was the game I expected we might lose agaist a well funded team. Workington and Solihull are different and probably the cause of dissent on here I'd say.

Deservedly beaten by a superior team, whose quality and accuracy of passing put ours to shame.

Their No. 7, Brooksby, looked a very accomplished player.

To be honest, I thought that we were poor and lacked ambition.

Lawrie woeful; Moult strangely subdued; Reeves anonymous and Watmore was played totally out of position for much of the game.

They brought on their potential match-winning substitutes, Walshaw and Wilson; meanwhile, we scraped the barrel and threw on Mitchley and Brooke.

That says it all.

Now down to 12th position and our season is potentially hanging in the balance over the next fortnight.

You are right in the point about a season defining fortnight, thats why the manager should be on the phone tomorrow.Three more defeats on the trot and things will look pretty grim.

I don't think I can sum it up any better than this, other than to say we were outplayed from kick-off.

If my Mother had been in goal for them tonight, then I am confident we could have made a draw..........I don't reckon she would have saved the two other shots we had on target tonight.

Losing to this club (bankrolled) is no disgrace at all, but we must beat the likes of Solihull and Vauxhall etc if we are to progress. That is the issue

Our trouble is we cannot pass the ball and keep it.We need to invest in a tube of super glue and put it on the players boots. We have had this trouble for about 4 or 5 years now we just give the ball away to cheaply
