Looks like we're signing him from Hyde :

HYDE DEFENDER AGREES TERMS WITH ALTY
Hyde FC central defender, Danny Hall (d.o.b. 14th November 1983), has agreed terms to join Altrincham for 2012-13. His previous clubs include Oldham Athletic, Scarborough, Shrewsbury Town, Gretna, Chesterfield, Darlington, Crawley Town, Forest Green and Stockport County, with Football League experience coming his way at Oldham, Shrewsbury and Chesterfield and Scottish Premier League experience at Gretna. He was with Crawley Town when they won the Conference, though he spent part of that season on loan at Forest Green.

Played for Crawley twice against us in their promotion side - didn't play in the fhyde matches last season...

Two league championships in two seasons must mean something...

Signed half a dozen games into the 2011 – 2012 season, Danny proved to be an
instant hit at Hyde with some assured performances at the back and an impressive 3 goals in his first 5 league appearances. And it wasn’t just the Tigers who were impressed – Danny was named September’s Blue Square Bet North player of the month in recognition of the brilliant start he made to his Hyde career.

Played 28 (+4) games scoring 4 goals

His name is Danny ball! He is very very tall

why did he leave hyde?

Apparently we had lots of ambition and potential and it's his boyhood dream to play for Altrincham

Welcome to the club, Danny! I'm really excited by this signing, sounds like just the kind of player we've been looking for.

Rodgers, Brooke and now Hall, we're certainly not hanging about with our dealings this summer and bloody good thing too as we need to go out of the traps flying in August.

Anyone who played in that Crawley title winning side of two years ago will do for me.

I wonder if Tolson can get us anyone else who doesn't fancy a long losing season at Hyde?

This is brilliant news, the quality centre half we have been looking for.  Delighted by his signing.

Now go and tell Adam Griffin to come and it will be a double bonus.

Would Tolson had any baring on this, he wasn't at the club when Tolson was there...

True but he is a Hyde man, I'm sure he must still have some decent contacts and potential influence over there.

Main thing is we've got ourselves a proper centre back, 28 as well, good age, not too young.
