« on: April 30, 2010, 06:18:48 PM »

Does any one have a Robin badge like the one in the picture?

If yes could you take a picture of the fastening on the reverse of the badge and send it to altychiefsteward@ntlworld.com.
I am looking into getting a new one made.
I have lost mine

Thank you
Darren

I went to school with a lad called Robin Badge.  Would it help if I took a photo of his backside?

I also had one of those Robin badges and cannot find it, unless its on an old scarf that I know is in my loft.
I think it was issued around 1973?
I think it was actually a tie-pin with a long straight needle style pin at the back.

The earlier ones were. The later ones had a swivelling prong which clipped behind a retainer loop. (cue facetious replies! ;)

By the way, I've got one but my computer skills are nowhere near those needed to send photos via the web! Sorry.

The early ones had a straight pin with a clip on stopper which used to fall off. Then the remodelled design had a traditional long pin which swivelled into a half round loop.

That's what I was trying to say ... but you said it better. Prize = 1G
