Final league position
« on: February 26, 2010, 11:44:51 AM »

We had one of these earlier in the season - it may have been pre-season? but I thought it might be interesting to see what people think now!

Personally, I'd vote for option 3, hope for option 2 and pray for option 1!

Isn't it great that straightforward 'Relegation' isn't one of the options?  ;D

I've gone for top half but well adrift from the playoffs. It was always going to be a big ask, but 1 point from the games at Eastbourne and Gateshead has all but ended any lingering hopes of the top 5.

Considering we finished 15th last season, any improvement on that has to be viewed as a good achievement. Top half would be really marvellous, we'd be above so many full-time sides over the course of 46 games.

Everyone connected with the club deserves a lot of credit for these past couple of seasons, we're doing really well.

Did think of putting that in but we've probably got enough points now to keep us safe I think (getting to 50 will be good though!).

I went for option 3 - which is still a wonderful achievement.

Nice to see lots of realism...I've also gone for top half nowhere near the play offs....a terrific achievement when you look at how we've done it financially........anything else is a bonus

Top half would be just reward for our progression this season.
We are continuing to improve year on year, and doing it the right way, not trying to spend our way to the play offs, but spending what we have on players that can do a job for us.
With DJ and Matty back next season and signings of the calibre of Peter Doran and Tom Kearney hopefully still here, this upward trend will surely continue. There will also be clubs who cannot afford to keep the players they have at the moment, who will drop down the table next year.

The future is bright!!

Would be elated to get a top ten finish, although I think 11th or 12th is probable.Lets hope GH with KM to get the accolades they deserve from the local press M.E.N !!! too.
