Alty Penalty Taker During Match?

Basically just thought what general thoughts were on who our main penalty taker should be after a few misses from Damian?

To be fair I was right behind the goal on Sat and Damien's pen did just clip the bar- even so I'd back Buzz.

just totted up his penalties over the past two and a bit seasons.

I make it 13 penalties scored from 17 taken

although that figure doesn't take into account goals from rebounds.

I have a theory about forwards taking penalties:

Many forwards score by instinct and a penalty taker will often have too much time to think about what they are doing - Reevesy said he changed his mind when he took Saturday's penalty. I think it is often best when forwards don't take pens - look at Man U where Van Persie and Rooney have both recently missed pens and Chelsea where Lampard rarely misses!

Thoughts?

Even Sir Colin missed the odd penalty........including one on his last appearance......it's Reeves for me though

Azzer had a good record I recall

The penalty King was Heathcote, Cult will correct me but I dont recall him ever missing one.

That lad Matthew Le Tissier wasn't bad either....

Never saw Heathcote play but I understand he wasn't bad at freekicks either.

I believe that Graham Heathcote may only have missed a total of two penalties for Alty.

I certainly witnessed one of those rare events and, of course, it inevitably occurred against our nemesis, Dave "Slob" Ryan, at The Drill Field...
