Eastleigh - Match Thread
« on: September 13, 2015, 09:21:21 AM »

Another tough ask on Tuesday, want to see reevesy back in the side, he needs a goal. Will be great to see Simon richman back in contention. Eastleigh have lost two on the trot and will be chomping at the bit to get back on track. This sort of midweek game is where we've got to try and pick up points against one of the fancied sides. Looking set to be our poorest crowd since we returned to the top flight, but let's try and not let that be the case. Whilst watching City v Juventus on TV my be an attractive other option, the weather is still decent and the club really needs us during this injury crisis, and we've lost enough of our fans to Man city already.

big performance needed tuesday. Lets get straight at them and not give them any time to settle, i rekon if we can score early they wont fancy it and we can get 3pts.

Attendance wise with both united and city playing on tv and with eastleigh having to travel such a long way i think we could be looking at one of the lowest attedances of the season. But i know all who can be there will be there.

Eastleigh have Stevens suspended and their keeper injured. We have to go for the jugular tomorrow.

I like the look of that - 5 at the back (so to speak) is well worth trying as the solution to playing both strikers AND Lawrie in his more effective central position, with Bowerman interchangeable for any 3 of the top positions.  O'Keefe in for Richman if he doesn't make it (I hope to God he does).

As I said on a previous post the line up looks good I'm just not sure griffin has the energy to be a wingback can't make tonight looking forward to Saturday

Surely we have to play either Crowther or Bowerman, though I have to say I'm not yet convinced about the latter.
He does look a goal threat, but seems to flit in and out of games.
Also, why does he have to keep pulling his shorts up to just below his nether regions, very disturbing.

I expect this is just a smokescreen. Getting the excuses in early in case our players are looking for a gig at Eastleigh again.

Can't take too much notice of what the opposition claim they can and cannot do.  Put out our strongest line-up, get the formation and tactics right. Let Hill worry about their players etc.

C'mon Alty.

On the contrary, I think having an extra (left-sided) CB is useful as protection, Griff can be susceptible to tough times against some wingers

In terms of up top, having a willing runner like Rankine will hopefully make up for the lack of attacking width on paper
