He has played for us before if I'm not mistaken. I think it was 2 or 3 games back in 2009-10, when he was a centre back. Since then I think I heard he has become a striker,

Wikipedia lists him as a forward, although he doesn't look like he scores many...

How uninspiring. Top scorer for Stalybridge this season with 7 but hasn't been able to get in the side since they signed Scott Spencer 2 months ago. Hope he proves me wrong.

Won't be signing for his goals. He is a giant of a man though and hopefully he'll free up Miller, Clee and Reeves to do damage

I know what you mean, but I really want to be positive so I did a bit of research (its quiet between xmas and new year).

He's scored 7 in 24 for Stalybridge this season, only 16 were starts. He hasn't scored off the bench once, so from starting a game 7 in 16 matches. Not bad for a team who are awful like us.

5 of his goals came in the league against Bradford, Harrogate, Gainsborough (2) and Darlo so he gets in amongst it with the good and the bad.

He did play the full 90 against us though which is considered to have been the most woeful side in front of goal we've ever played. We will have to assume he knew he wanted to play for Alty already and couldnt bring himself to score against the Alty :-)

Season 2009-10, 2 apps as sub (one of which was at Chester in a game which doesn't count in official records!).

Well if he's the guy Buzz reckons can keep both opposing centre backs occupied, I saw precious little evidence of it when we won at Bower Fold. He looked half decent at Telford though.

The above is on the main website so maybe we're still hoping to sign another striker because looking at Andy Owens goal scoring record he's far from a proven finisher!!
