Crawley consortium promise change
New Crawley Town consortium member Phil Jarman has promised fans they will be a force for positive change.
The hairdresser has been a Crawley fan for 20 years and he told BBC Southern Counties Radio: "There are a lot of fans out there who will be sceptical.
"We can understand that. But I can't stress this enough, this is a positive thing for the club.
"We are turning the corner now. It will be good to get the stay-away fans to come back again."
Jarman is joined by former owner John Duly on the new board, alongside some as yet unnamed other investors.
"I don't think John Duly would have come on board if there was anything untoward going on," added Jarman.
"He's a very clever man, a good businessman and a true Crawley Town fan too."
The controversial reign of former owners the Majeeds is now over and Jarman says the new regime must learn from the past."The new board has got to be open. We really want to be a community club too, with local businesses involved, aswell as bigger investors. Hopefull the future is looking bright for Crawley Town football club."
