No, no karma bombing on the cards, just nice to know what's happening. Was hoping to be fair to the new player but there were concerns expressed on here yesterday about the change in level. Hope we're proved wrong second half.

Oh, and good morning (think it is there) USA !

Don't want to appear a moaner but the time thing on here is now well out, about 13mins. Just find it a bit confusing sometimes, is there some way of fixing it?

Apart from the goal obviously any indications how we're doing, balance of play etc?

Senior was invariably a sub at Halifax, I suspect due to his workrate ie incredible bursts of speed/energy, probably his style, and not sustainable for 90mins?

One of my favourite away tops was the darker blue from I, think 99-00, or poss the season before. Relegation year though I think. Classier blue though than the traditional light blue.

Remember Alty's away kit in the early 70's being sky blue shirts with dark blue shorts, so the current away kit has a base in history it seems.

What other away colours have we had, I recall yellow and blue, yellow and black, the dark blue mentioned above, the grey kit at York, didn't we wear white at Anfield? Someone mentioned orange earlier but I don't think I ever saw that one.

Wales and England amalgamation! They'd need to segregate the "home" fans!

Seriously there should at least be a crossover on paperwork between Home Nations federations.

Thing is under EEC law anybody from a member state is legally entitled to work in another member state. By my reckoning then there could not be a situation where clearance could be refused, so why ask for it ? Only reason I can think of is if there is a current ban from another federation?

Been on the AFCW forum, the player Jermaine Darlington, had been at Cardiff City, who play in the English league! FFS, this stupid rule must be changed or at least made very difficult to break. I thought that on the back of our misfortune they were changing the player registration forms to ask if a player had "ever" played abroad?

Still can't consider wales as abroad though surely?

What's the worst Alty kit you can remember, I never liked the black and red checked one, or the grey we wore at York in the FA cup 4th round. Didn't we once have a Croatia style red and white check once too? Seem to recall it was the year the programme front cover was designed by some schoolkid, it was terrible.

Don't remember being in yellow at Gravesend but thinking we must've been, as they play in red. I don't still have my shirt, that's tidy minded mothers for you. No sense of propriety!

When we won the title at Gravesend in 79-80, the players threw their shirts to the crowd at the end. I got John Connaughton's goalie's shirt, the old fashioned green. Got mistaken and tw*tted at Northwich the following Monday night in the cup final by an Alty fan after it went off a bit when Kingy missed his penalty, all cos I had a green shirt on!!

Got a kids size "Holts Builders Merchants" one, must be about 94-5? Bought it for my daughter when she was about 3 but she refused point blank ever to have anything to do with it. My son, born a couple of years later wore it a bit until he discovered other football teams existed. Well I did try!

He now has a bigger range of shirts than JJB sports.

You know we really don't do bad these days, as a youngster supporting Alty in the 70's, unless youn actually were there it could be nigh on impossible sometimes to know the result never mind updates. Saturdays were ok as there was the Pink, but there were no TV scores or even teleprinter goals, midweek aways were a nightmare. If you were lucky the result might be in the morning paper but it wasn't unusual to need to wait till the following nights MEN. We're spoilt with this new fangled interweb thingy and those mobular telephones!

Just off for my slippers and a nice hot water bottle.
