Would be mad to not play Tony if he's available. Drench is emergency cover.

I'd rather have local up and coming bands than crappy chart music

Altrincham FC First Team / Re: This possible insurance claim money
« on: March 10, 2022, 04:55:49 PM »
From JL site:

As reported yesterday, Altrincham FC is suing Axa the insurance giants for £250,000.
The claim was filed in December and relates to the closure of the club from March 2020 to June 2021 during the Covid pandemic. The club's business interruption policy with the insurers, Axa, apparently includes a clause for the "closure of the premises 'on the advice or with the approval' of the government" and the case seems to be based on whether that clause should trigger a payout by Axa or not.

Seems strange to me how some of the signings like Mudimu slip by unnoticed until he appears on the teamsheet and others like this one are made big announcements

Some good answers from Phil which helped clear up a few things.

*E.g. Richie Sutton - (paraphrasing here) he wants to play weekly football but tough for him to maintain weekly fitness with long coach journeys etc at National level.
*Phil took a pay drop and no pension by showing commitment to be FT Alty boss (by giving up his lecturers job).
*Ryan Colclough's commitment to the club shown by turning down an EFL move in the Jan window and wanted to 'give back' to Alty.
*Club still looking into the FT or hybrid model but decision is obviously at board level and mustn't weaken the squad.

Paraphrasing some of the answers so apologies if details missing...

Regarding Sutton then, why is he still at the club?

Never thought that I would say it but thank god for Macclesfield!!!!!  SBL

Why? Have I missed something?

Due to macc going bust there’s only 3 relegation spots

Not a fan of the 4-3-3 personally. Every time I've seen us play it we look too flat with no outlets

Regarding the fan zone, I'd appreciate some financial transparency with the crowd-funded money that went into it

Very frustrating when it feels like we're not learning from past mistakes. We should have won on Saturday but I tried to be positive as it looked like improvements were being made. Then last night, same old sh*t.

Yes Stockport are a good team but that second goal was inexcusable.

Digie looks like there could be a good player in there but he's too unreliable, his communication seems poor. Too many times you see him trying to head the ball with another player.

The cracks are starting to appear.

It's probably more sensible to give them part of the popside than have them quietly buying tickets for the rest of the ground.

Wrexham didn't have it though. Either way, they will sell out their allocation of tickets.
