Geoff Goodwin latest quote

Not quite the apology taht Alty365 wants but it's a start. i think this is more or less what some people wanted to hear originally. From the club website.

MOVE ON
Geoff Goodwin referred last night to the exchange of views between the Altrincham chairman and a number of supporters critical of the team's management this season. Geoff said "I have had my say and they have had theirs. I have to ask, how did we get into this situation? We have come a long way in the last five years and we need to get together and get things moving forward". Geoff also indicated that there were genuine reasons to be positive as on Saturday the club would be celebrating gaining its Charter Standard which underlines its involvement with the local community, which is a vital step for its long-term future.

How I feel at the moment too Geoff, bollocks to it all. I don't care if GH plays 8-1-1 and we win on Saturday. Lets just all get together. I'm sure GH will start to reconsider some tactics in the meantime as well.

'Get things moving forward' - in every sense I would suggest, on and off the pitch. Together.

I agree Ballers it's a start. I also agree on the need for unity on the playing front and that a win on Saturday is crucial irrespective of how it is achieved.

I would just like to see an apology issued through the local press which he saw fit to use to slag the fans off. It's not a lot to ask.

Here's hoping for three points on Saturday. Come on Alty!!!!

I must confess that this sentence does worry me a little though:

"I have to ask, how did we get into this situation?"

Er, your remarks in the press and 14 league games without a win might have something to do with it!

The last quote is a bit better, but smells like bolting the door when the horse has already gone. Though im not suprised an apology wasnt issued.

You can smell it if you have a highly trained sense of smell, like a native indian. ;)

Discussing wigwams has no place on this forum. If you persist you will be bammed.  :D
