Altrincham FC First Team / Re: New Kit
« on: March 31, 2011, 10:50:58 PM »
Red and white stripes.

Never understood the argument of we can't have a brand name supplyer because we don't sell enough shirts as IMO a brsnd name would sell better as more younger people would maybe prefer to wear a nike, puma, adidas, etc kit out and about. Plus when you see teams with much worse fan bases than us with very nice kits from supplyers like the afor mentioned it begs the question. Of why can't we? I mean witton had an adidas kit the other season that looked good, bangor city have a really nice puma kit, there are more but I cba listing them.

Because we dont sell enough replicas to justify FREE kit. Witton and Bangor would have paid for the kit. Nike supply the likes of York and Kiddy because they can guarantee selling 100s of replicas. Can we?? As I said in explanation, all Brands are available, but they demand volume sales of replica shirts against playing kit.

Yes, but the volume of replica shirts required to get team kit from Precision Training FREE is prohibitive. Because we are, and hope to be next season, in the Blue Squrare Premier, we need in excess of 80 playing kits because of names/numbers on every shirt.

To all forum members, bearing in mind, not only am I Goalkeeping Coach at the club, but an Altrincham FC supporter. The reason for considering such a radical change in the home shirt was the poor sales of replicas through the club shop this season. This is important income stream for the club. That may be down to the shirt, but I see 4 or 5 different red/white striped shirts at home games, which led us to think about a change in design. Regarding using my own brand, that is because, although I have access to all main brands (including Nike, Prostar, etc), the volume of pre-ordered replica shirts required from these companies is far in excess of sales of shirts in recent seasons. I can supply a single shirt if required in 3 or 4 days. And beyond that, my other items of merchandise have sold quite well, and if someone needs a polo urgently for example, I am usually able to supply within days. At weekend, I hope to have a couple of other options from my range available to view, the Yellow/Blue RIO and Red/Black ITALIA. I hope this explains the options released yesterday. I'm always free to discuss these options on match days.

It seems Droylsden had more support at Cambridge than Vics had at Barrow. !0 found the time to make the trip to Cumbria to watch their team beat Barrow.

The "Inter" design is being replaced next season, but would not be available as an away kit anyway because I dont think The Conference allow home and away kits to both be striped shirts .

The home kit will remain the same as part of a 2 year deal with Prostar and Sensport Kits. The away kit is due for renewal for season 2008/09, currrent options of shirts can be seen at www.prostar.co.uk, although there will be 3 new design's for next season.

All the full-timers trained last night, so I think you could term them "part-time full timers". Sounds right I think?
