Histon might be a good up & coming outfit
« on: February 16, 2013, 05:17:35 PM »

Workington were sh*t and haven't won at home in months, if anything illustrates how weak we are it was today. Rogers has to be replaced at half time and we have no one of any note to bring on. Not one player in that outfield 10 has the presence to be the roll your sleeves up and calm it down boys type we need. The manager is sat buried in his coat and hat shrinking into his seat whilst workingtons manager is on the touchline winning every ball at 1-1. We must be the only club in the country with money in the bank and only about 12 players worthy of a place in the team. Simply not good enough, no inspirational leadership on or off the pitch, changes needed and fast or we can forget any chance of promotion, not up to it when we are up against, furious this evening as I make may way back, because they were as dreadful as their league place states....

Atleast Robbie Lawton would have apologised after that diabolical show today... Captain didnt lead by example and nobody else stepped up.

Fuming that against a side so poor, we were under the cosh so much...

As said above, big changes need to be made or we can look forward to watching alty v pub sides for another year... I havent travelled 500 odd miles this week and spend god knows how much to put up with performances like that.

why the f**k is your only concern the whereabouts of Kirk Hilton?

After that shower of sh*t today we have more pressing concerns

The loss of Carl Rodgers at half time may have unsettled the rest of the team. He suffered an allergic reaction after eating an energy bar, and an ambulance took him to hospital. Apparently, his face swelled like a balloon.

So leaving all else out of it, let's hope he's OK, and no lasting harm has been done.

Our team spirit has been remarked on of late, and such an incident in the dressing room must be at the very least disturbing to the lad's team mates.

However, the second half performance against a Workington side who were, if I'm kind to them, limited, left a lot to be desired. I'm posting this from Tebay Services, and it seems a very long way home.

God help us, if we don't get our arses back in gear rapid, we might well have to play this lot AND Barrow next season.

We really should be beating teams like that, and in some comfort.

Why are you attacking someone for making a joke? His comment was not even remotely within the context of today's game. You're absolutely entitled to your opinions on the team and performances of individuals having been to nearly every game this season, and fair play to you for that, but there's no need to snap at people randomly!

To be fair this thread was about today's latest pathetic no show, not the whereabouts of kirk Hilton.
Only 4th place club in the world that could lose to 4th bottom twice in 4 days

Absolutely agree with you and, to get back on topic, we need to see some immediate action taken to ensure we don't fall away like last season. The resources are (supposedly) there so let's utilise them to the full! It's not too late to get this season back on track!
