Hello.
I am Robert Mugabe. I believe you hold democratic votes in contempt, just like I do.
You are now in a pub team league. Rochdale are in the football league play-offs again.
I find this most amusing.

I like the  "one man, one vote" system....

as long as I am the man who gets to vote

Not going down like some....  ;D

Have you ever played a game in the football league? No, I thought not. I, Mugabe say this - know your place.

I was at Spotland 43 or so years ago when we whupped them 3-1. Even the diminutive Les Campbell scored!  ::)

Am I correct in thinking that it was Rochdale's vote which cost us promotion to the Football League circa 1980??

Why you coming on here sticking the knife in to a club that has no rivalry with you whatsoever?

You sad tw*t.

20th November 1982
FA Cup First Round
Altrincham 2 Rochdale 1

Barry Howard got the winner.
Both teams finished with nine men.

No. It was Manchester United who voted for Rochdale's re-election because they didn't want "competition" for spectators from a closer league team. (Believe it or not that was what the Late Louis Edwards then said!)

wasn't it all the votes that cost promotion, not just that of one club?
