With all this rain I am wondering if the game will be on or not. Please please let the pitch be ok.

Wondering the same here, imagine there will be pitch inspection at 1100ish to inform Southport whether to travel or not.

Does not look to hopeful at present as it has rained a lot during the night, and cannot see signs of it currently letting up.

I hope it is on cos I need my footy fix for the weekend, Alex was reffing this am in Benchill and their game has now been called off.

extremeley doubtful. just been down to the lane , and a good third of pitch with inch of standing water.

rain will need to stop within the hour for any chance

I have just rang the club and the lady who I spoke to wasnt too hopeful... standing water on the pitch and the forecast for heavy rain until 5-0 pm . They are expecting a ref to inspect the pitch in the next 30 mins..

I really fancied our chances today. Decent crowd, their  best striker suspended.. now it will be another fkn tues night with 800 hardcore fans there

Absolute bummer - the last thing we need is a fixture backlog.
