Just reading his autobiography and there are few good Alty references in the book.

Psycho started at Wealdstone aged 17 and mentions playing one of his first games at Moss Lane...he say "you had to learn to look after yourself at places like Altrincham where it was very rough"......I reckon the year would be circa 1979..........he does mention that Alex Stepney was in goal

He later talks of an England trial at Nuneaton where he bemoans not getting picked......he says " mainly because Altrincham had a left back called John Davidson, who quite frankly was better than me"

the other famous Wealdstone player (and I'm not talking about the Cordice brothers) was a sub at Wembley in the 1985 trophy final - I went to barrack the cheating Boston scum.  The programme notes said something like Substitute: Vincent Jones.  Vincent joined Wealdstone this season and is a brick layer.  I never thought of him as a Vincent really

Happy to say I saw Psycho and Vinnie play at Moss Lane. Also, the Stones had some great fans... great times in the Moss. Several times they had to come midweek!
Still got a 2Stones prog with Mr Pearce on the front cover.

I came across that programme in my collection a couple of years ago.....must admit that it passed me by at the time.I can't remember Vinnie Jones playing at Moss Lane though.
