Altrincham FC First Team / Darren Kempson wins Tw*t of the day award....
« on: September 25, 2010, 08:28:24 PM »
Seriously needed to wind his neck in.

Storming off and declining the sponsors AMOTM like a big girl.

He doesn't seem to have many fans from Grimsby - among some 'nice posts' were - ''he's not a footballer'' and ''one of the worst to put on a GTFC shirt''

The big girl

Altrincham FC First Team / Luton V York trouble FA Decsion
« on: August 19, 2010, 12:12:03 PM »
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_conf/8926313.stm

Just a couple of points -

There is no way York should be penalised for the fault of 'Luton's supporters' - any cost incured because of having to stay overnight or extra police costs at Bootham Crescent should be paid for by Luton - Simple

Of course it wasn't Luton Town FC's fault that the trouble happened, but the trouble happened in and around theirground by their supporters, as far as i'm concerned they should suffer a penalty because of this. A precedent has been set where by now clubs will say 'well it wasn't our fault' and 'Luton were never penalised' Of course they should be doing all they can to find the culprits - AND ? Do they want a trophy for doing this ?

I think the FA have got this majorly wrong, i'm not saying they should be docked 20 points or fined £100,000 (even though they could afford it seeing as though they can afford to turn their noses up at TV money) but some sort of penalty should have been given

Altrincham FC First Team / Steve Coppell and his revolving door

Not Alty related, BUT - At Alty we have a manager who is passionate about the club, worked in various roles, is (I think) the league's current longest serving manager and has not spent ONE penny on transfers in 8 years. Not everyone see's eye to eye with him (I still can't forget the buisness from the Lewes game) but sometimes we should be very grateful for a) having a club to support and b) a manager who cares

Coppell should bulid a rainforest with the amount of paper he's used in signing management contracts

Also intersting is he states his retirement, yet is favourite for the Villa job

Altrincham FC First Team / Robbie Savage v BBC Radio Derby
« on: April 29, 2010, 05:07:04 PM »
Wouldn't usually post stuff like this here, but its end of season so thought people might have a chuckle.

Savage is interviewed by local presenter after their 2-1 loss agaist Bristol City last Saturday, makes himself look a bit of a tool and bites a few times, the presenter must have been wanting to wet himself

Fast forward 23 minutes in....

Altrincham FC First Team / Typical Alty :)
« on: April 24, 2010, 07:34:35 PM »
Of course that penalty was going to be saved..  :(  Its just us...

Their goalkeeper had a blinder today and if we had players with their shooting boots on (Doran) it could have been a little different. I hate waiting until August now for the next league game.

Just a side note, is Simon Russell a little simple ? I mean your team have just won 2-0 in an end of season no game, you've finished 10th and then we turn around and start throwing the 2-0 up with our fingers to the crowd, what a cock ! Jog on knobhead you'll be here next season pratt

Time after time after time we here boring Altrincham this, defensive Altrincham that, I hope when Heathcotes next at a BSP AGM or whatever he bangs the likes of Money, Saunders, Holdsworth's heads together.

Out of 3 VERY difficult games we've come away with two credible 1-0 defeats and a 0-0 draw against a team who at whatever they hit it went in the net...

Money says ''i'll leave you to decide the words for their performance'' and we've heard ''what a pile of tosh it would be watching that every week''  well if we're so defensive and negative why have Luton failed to score in open play against us in 4 full games. We got what we wanted and that was a point, and a bloody good one at that, if THEY couldn't score thats their bloody fault. A fulltime professional outfit should be able to muster more should it not ? A fulltime professional outfit should be looking at their own teams performance and not that of ours to complain should it not ? No doubt while our players were on the way down they were having a nice relaxing pasta salad for lunch after having a light training session and tactical awareness session on the Friday. We probably haven't trained for weeks, have 3 very important players out, have played Saturday, Tuesday, Saturday for a few weeks and have just 'competed' (and we did) with Oxford and Stevenage. Its getting very boring and repetitive every week hearing these comments, and it is every week because we've improved so much as a team, and in one way it shows how far and what we've achieved this season.
I hope Heathcote and McKenna sincerley apologise for keeping our club up to all these idiots, and our defensive boring negative approach this season will probably warrant our highest position finishing in this league since 1994-1995..

God give me strength !!

Altrincham FC First Team / Quiet word with Peter Doran
« on: April 04, 2010, 05:44:21 PM »
You can tell its his mentality and we probably need and love a bit of bite BUT.. i wonder if one of the players could/ have had a word with him ? We struggle with injuries and the last thing we need at the end of this season or beginning of next is someone with a ban, my hearts been in my gob a few times with him and yesterday there was another.
Still a great signing like  :)

Altrincham FC First Team / Dean Saunders in Maths shock
« on: March 08, 2010, 06:15:48 PM »
Dean and his throwing allsorts of numbers in reports seems to have backfired. He cannot now add up.. I hope we go there tomorrow, have 11 players behind the ball and we win 1-0 with an own goal - headed. Wait a minute....  :)

The guys a goon

From official site :-

"Wrexham boss Dean Saunders was left angry at his team's wastefulness as they failed to find a winner against Ebbsfleet" reports Blue Square Football. "Speaking to the BBC after the game it was all too familiar for Saunders: 'Déjà vu again - balls going in, chances missed... I think we had 15 chances, seven of them on target, seven of them off target'".

7+7 = 14
