The League have confirmed that every effort should be made to play last night's postponed game tonight at 7.45pm.
There will be updates via the club website & social media during the day as the weather forecast is for there to be a lot of rain today, therefore we may face the same problem of waterlogging as we had last night.

Not seen this asked elsewhere, but are the new covers in place yet - assume not?

We don’t have them yet. I’m trying to find out when they’re being delivered at the moment.
-
When I paid the pledge I made for the covers, was advised they couldn't be dispatched until the Pro Forma invoice had been paid. I guess it will be paid when all the pledges are honoured. Then goods will be dispatched.

Surely we should switch this game to Marine or another venue to give the pitch the best chance of being playable on Sat?
-
If not at marine then on the plastic pitch at Avro F.C or Hyde or wherever else local has one free
-
I honestly can't see how we'll get this game on tonight, if we play it at home.
-
Precautionary inspection @ 13.00
-
Hearing the pitch is 100% playable which is mad, but very welcome news. I'll keep me gob shut in future. Hopefully this afternoon's rain doesn't do much damage.
-
Just play it one the wet pitch. the result is hamilton academical now.
-
Pitch inspection due and its throwing it down by the ground!

If they're doing it now it's not raining. Think we're talking persistent showers here.
-
They're called Marine for heaven's sake. I'm sure there's a yellow submarine in Albert Dock they could borrow.
I wonder if they'll send a weakened team and focus on tomorrow's match?
-
Bit late asking now I know, but does anyone know why the keeper wasn't sent off for handling outside the box? If it wasn't accidental why was he given a yellow card?
-
I thought he did recieve a yellow card. It would d have been harsh to send him off given it wa a pointless match so I am OK with him staying on. I thought he played a good game and looked athletic. Not a bad choice for second keeper for us. I am assuming Deasy might be retiring.
-
he was given a yellow card, that's what i said. but i'm not interested in some emotional reason whether he should have stayed or gone, i'm asking if the correct punishment was given for deliberate handball.
-
It was the wrong decision..........his handling outside of his area prevented an obvious goal scoring opportunity (Hulme would have probably scored had he not got down and smothered the ball).......hence red card
-
I agree regardless of the meaning of the match it was a red card.....what if we suddenly had points deducted between this and the hednesford match?
Also the foul for the penalty denied a goal scoring opportunity and should also have been a red card.
I may be a bit more relaxed about the match being meaningless had I gained free entry...but I paid £10 to see my team win.
Thank god we've seen the end of these incompetent officials at this level.....

It was a sympathy yellow. As was the yellow for the penalty. They had no subs.
